Project 365 - Week 13

 Week 13.

One more week.  I am really starting to get excited to interact with everyone again.  This time off has been so good for me, but I am ready to know what y'all are doing!!!

I had a great week and as we head into the week before Easter, there is so much to be thankful for!  For a Savior that gave His life "once for all" to cleanse each one of us of our sins (Hebrews 8 &9).  I have been feeling overwhelmed at that fact as I try to wrap my mind around how much Jesus loves me.

Next time I will post will be Easter....what a great day to be able to visit and say "He is Risen!"

Here's my week:
Sunday
I have a meeting after church and made a 7 layer salad for the lunch...one of my favs!

Monday
We had to have Lily's teeth cleaned under anesthesia.....not cheap.  So we are trying to be good at brushing her teeth weekly......she doesn't like it much.

Tuesday
Tonight my life group made dinner for 50 Urban YoungLife kids.  We had a blast interacting with them and loved the chance to serve and love on them a bit.

Wednesday
One of the ladies in my bible study brought me these today to thank me for leading the study.  They are so beautiful!

Thursday
I had the opportunity today to meet with the building committee and architect about our new Fine Arts bldg at the school to discuss the plans.

Friday
The flowers are absolutely gorgeous in my yard right now.  The azaleas are at their peak and so vibrant!  And my roses are already starting to bloom.

Saturday
Alyssa and I came home today and saw this strange bug/bird? flying around my flowers.  It looked like it was part bee (because it had bright yellow and black strips on it's rear end) and part hummingbird, only it flew much slower.  We were fascinated by it.  Finally I remember to go get my camera but it was gone by the time I got back...ugh.  So we went in and started googling it.  It turns out it is a "clear winged hummingbird moth".  I had no idea there was such a thing!!  And now am so sad I didn't get a picture!!!
got these off the internet.

So there you have my week!  Hope your was great.  And I hope you will take some time this week to reflect on what Jesus did for you, once and for all.  We tend to, at times, focus on the resurrection, but with out this week and the cross, there would be no resurrection.  I think we need to remember all He went through for our sin, so that we don't take it for granted....which our nature tends to do.

See you in a week!

That's a very cool moth! I'd never heard of that either.

Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers! My azaleas and roses are blooming too :)

That looks like it will be an amazing facility at the school. How fun to be in on the planning!

Have a wonderful week!

Love a 7 layer Salad!

All my iris are starting to come up, no blooms yet but I expect them any day now! Love all the spring color, beautiful azaleas..I miss all mine, I used to have a yard full of them at my old house. When we first moved in I was not really very fond of them but after I saw how awesome they were in the spring I learned to appreciate them.

Great week!
Blessings

That is such a cool moth!

I love how much you love people and how energized you get from hanging out with people. You do the Pastor's wife well!

Ooohhh...those flowers are so gorgeous! I'm so ready for spring! We do have some flowering blooms here but not like you (yet).

That was one amazing moth. Funny how I was thinking it was a sweet bird--but then decided it was a gross moth just by it's name. ha.

I saw my neighbor has azaleas blooming. I want to include some in my new flower garden.
7-layer, yum! thanks for the reminder.
Yes, what's with the tin-person?
So true--Let us not forget what we remember this week. Heard something yesterday that was powerful. As long-time Christians we forget to give thanks. Like fish in water not expressing gratitude for the water it swims in.
