Letters of Intent

Dear Mother Nature,

We have had this discussion before, but it seems you have forgotten.....again.

This is Arkansas.....Arkansas is in the SOUTH.
Arkansas is NOT supposed to get freezing temps and snow.....at least not more than once a year.

I feel I have been pretty patient with you.

I clearly laid out the issues I had in this letter to you,

but when you mess with the 2 things you messed with this week...
..well, you have just plain gone over board.

Going to Panera bread on a freezing night and finding they have NO bread bowls for their amazing soup because their truck couldn't make it in really stretched the line.  I mean, seriously, you HAVE to have their soup in a bread bowl!!!

But today is the kicker.....

you have messed with my date day with my husband.

I so look forward to Fridays where I get to go out to breakfast with my hubby, talk and get caught up from the busy week.
I love having my day devoted to just us.

But now they are "predicting" weather and called off school.....
....yes, that means we have an extra person with us.
I love this extra person....but really, having your child along on a date....not cool.

I will admit though.....
the look on my son's face as he was all ready to walk out the door, lunch made and coat on, and I told him we just got a txt from the school canceling school....

....was priceless.

Head over to the Foursons for more letters of intent!!

We got snow!!!!! We are so excited around here. Granted, it is just a dusting and will be gone by noon but we are excited just the same. The last time we got snow here that stuck to the ground in the daylight hours was in 1985. Seriously.

Sorry your day date had a third wheel. That does stink. And no bread for the bread bowl? No freakin' way. They should be serving their soup for free if it is not in a bread bowl.

Thanks for linking up, you're the only one so far!

I have to smile big on behalf of your son...what a way to start a Friday. HOWEVER, having your plans messed with...not cool!

It seems the only dates hubs and I are able to go on lately... include 2 lil' girlies. ;)

What a bummer to get all ready... then have school canceled. Better when you get to sleep in and stay in jammies.

Sorry your plans got canceled.

I cannot believe how much snow parts of the country have been getting. I would go nuts being snowed in. I hope you get a reprieve soon.

I must disagree.
I am LOVING this winter with so much snow and time at home indoors accomplishing things I never had time for before.
And the beauty of the snow and deer is breathtaking.
However, it probably has a lot to do with NOT having to go out, being retired.
Sorry for y'all down South :)

Oh man...leave the extra person home and go alone. :) Sorry about the cold weather and snow. We have gotten nailed this winter, too.
