realizing I have no sense of rhythm at all.

Honestly, I thought I had rhythm.

ya'll, when I was younger, I used to dance all the time.
My brother and I were known to spend our holidays out country swing dancing together in college.

Now, I know I wasn't the best and didn't come close to the dancer my husband is...but seriously, I can keep a beat!!!

This, however, has taught me differently...

oh.my.word.

As it started out, I thought "oh yea, I can do this"!
But by just a few minutes in, I realized there was no way I could keep up with the footwork of this lady on the screen!!!  And by the end of the 30 minute class...

...I was sucking air.

And I learned something else...

...there is NO WAY I will be doing this with anyone else in the room!

Your last line pretty much sums up my experiences with any AND ALL exercise programs :) I do NOT want anyone in viewing/hearing distance of the jiggles and the wiggles and the huffing and the puffing that goes on...

It's not just you! I know I have no rhythm. What do I do? I get a dance/cardio/kickboxing work out called Turbo Jam! I thought "How hard can this be?! I mean.. it's not like it's actual dancing!" That's when I realized I have the coordination of a 3 day old. But you know what! I can do it now! I'm still uncoordinated, and I could probably trip over a piece of lint if left on the floor, but, I can do me some Turbo Jam! LOL
Good luck! I really want to try Zumba as well!

LOL...I feel your pain...I actually went to a Zumba class...and thought before it was over that I would die. The woman instructor made it look so easy....but I discovered quite quickly I had no rhythm. None...Zip...Nada. I would NEVER do this in front of ANYONE! Not even my dear Frank.

HA! I love Zumba. THAT SAID...let me clarify that I love to WATCH Zumba but have never shaken my tail feathers in a Zumba class! I WOULD do it in the privacy of my own home on the WII though!
Intrigued to try this game!

Yeah...I took a Zumba class at my gym and 15 minutes into it I realized that I was "that guy"...you know the one I used to make fun of in college during my step aerobic classes. It was very sad.

I didn't go back.

But sucking air is a good thing...right??

HA! I feel that way about the Wii fit 2 that we bought. Oh my, it's kickin' my butt, and I haven't really decided if I like it or not. Ya know, since I'm left huffin' and puffin' and all. I thought I was in at least a little better shape than that!

I got this too. Haven't tried it yet though. Now I am worried!

I've never been able to do anything like that. By the time my feet figure out what the person is doing, I've already missed about 5 step changes!

Some lady did a demonstration of Zumba at our school fundraiser. I wanted to try it--but now I am not so sure.... :)

LOL.... I'm sure your family will be peeking around the corner watching you while you think you're all alone.

Too funny. Maybe someone will get a picture and it'll become a party of Project 365. My daughter's been doing Zumba a lot lately. We don't have Wii, but she's been finding video on YouTube and doing it with those. She loves it, but was very unhappy when I walked in on her and watched her last night. haha So even at 16 we don't want to be watched.

I love your descriptions - and boy oh boy, I'd be the same way! Certainly an activity I'd try when I'm guaranteed no one else is around...

Girl, this is the last class I'd try in front of others in our neck of the woods. Ladies here 'know' that Zumba music... they own it! Ha! Kuddos to you for simply getting past unwrapping the case. I must admit, I'm a lil' curious about the Wii edition. Thumbs up or down?
