Project 365 - Week 3

Week 3.

Can I just tell you how happy I am to have my laptop back!!!  Those of you who love your iPad please don't take offense, but I don't like it at all.  While there are so many great things you can do with it, it is certainly not made for blogging!  I am very thankful to be back on my MacBook!!!

I loved seeing all your pictures last week and we had 32 people join us!  I want to encourage all you who are new to not get discouraged if you miss a day.....it's going to happen.  You can skip it or you can recreate what happened and take the picture on another day....no big deal.  It's just great that you are documenting your families life in pictures!!!

Before we get started on my week, I want to ask you to pray for a blogging friend.  Many of you may know her, Joanne at The Simple Wife.  She had a stroke on Tuesday and is fighting for her life.  They currently posted that they desperately need the swelling to go down in her brain.  Please, please pray for her and also for her family!  Thank you.

Here's my week:

 Sunday
We had a "survivor-ish" ice breaker game in children's church this morning...
2 teams
each member races to get pieces of a puzzle
then try to put the puzzle together before the other team

 team1
 team 2
and it neck and neck!
 the finished puzzle.
our verse for the day.

Monday

Some one forgot to tell Mother Nature this was Arkansas!!!

Tuesday
Happy 1-11-11!!

tonight I tried a new recipe for whole wheat cinnamon bread.
This is SO GOOD!

Wednesday

So incredibly happy to have my MacBook back!!!
Thursday
Jared had to work through dinner tonight so Steve and I took advantage of that and a gift card we were given and had a date night!  This was our dessert.....A.MA.ZING!

Friday
I volunteered to sell tickets at our HS basketball game tonight.  At half time, the boy in the drumline did a fun routine!

Saturday
Jared warming up at all-region competition.
He made 1st band, 2nd chair!!!!
we are so proud of him!

Time to link up and share your week in pictures!

Yay for the Return of the Mac! :) I felt the same way about the iPad when I was using my MIL's to try and blog when my hard drive died.

That dessert looks SOOOO YUMMY.
Your whole weeks looks great -- even the snow that I can enjoy through your photos :) [Much better than "enjoying" it myself. LOL]

Will be praying for Joanne and her family.

Have a great week!

Tiffany, if you come back to read this...I can't get your blog to come up!!!

Sara, Tiffany's blog has been being redesigned, and maybe that's why it isn't available. Try it again - I just got it to open.

Guess I should have told you that Tiffany & I know each other. I told her about your blog back when you were studying Noah in Children's Church, because she was also teaching about Noah!

Mmmm that bread looks FAN-TASTIC! Even my lil girl said so... ;-)

I look forward to a time when hubs and I can go out on dates again. Only a couple more years before I'm sure that we will be able to go out for a couple of hours and not worry about the (now) 12 year old and (now) 7 year old getting into trouble or burning down the house with a errant Rammen Noodle disaster!!

Would have loved to have heard the drumline. I simply adore live music!

My husband played clarinet in his marching band, my daughter played french horn and was drum major her senior year, and my SIL played quads on the drumline. I love drumline competitions. Would also love the bread recipe...it looked good enough to eat.

I love the puzzle scripture! I have not taken but one photo this week. Should I still link up, or maybe I'll wait until next week. I've been in a little bit of a funk. I am definately praying for a miracle for Joanne.

Our music teacher loves the boom whackers the boys were using on the chairs. They are so much fun to play with and to watch in action.

Congrats to your youngest son on
his recent musical accomplishment!

That dessert does look awesome. I thought for a second it was a double decker s'more. That would have been funny because I posted pic of our s'more dessert from Thursday night.

Love whole wheat home made bread and the cinnamon sounded to wonderful!

Desert = Amazing!

I am seriously thinking about switching to a mac the next time I get a new laptop, any suggestions?? Have you ever used a windows based computer. Do you find the mac to be better for blogging, pictures, videos??? I am wondering if it would be a problem to convert all the word documents I have over to a Mac??

Blessings

Mouthwatering bread, the recipe?
Thank you for your example as a mother, wife, pastor's wife, friend to many; and to both of you for taking time for each other. Of course, a date + dessert all the better!

I taught Children's Church for 20 years. I get so much joy out of seeing others touch the lives of the ones in their care. The puzzle is a fun way to teach Scripture.

Saying prayers for Joanne!

LOVE the puzzle race at the church. I miss teaching Sunday School and Youth group. I did it for YEARS and had to stop when my twins came along.

The bread looks very yummy. Do you have a recipe to share?

I am drooling over that dessert! Wow.

Sorry I'm so late linking up Sara...it's been quite a week and I've been under the weather, so now I'm so far behind on everything! I'll have to read your post later, now I need to practice some music, before I go to church tonight. :)
