I first saw this challenge on my friend, Rebecca Jo's blog and she directed me to MiMi's blog.
The minute I read about it, I knew I had to try it.
What is it?
52 weeks, 52 letters!
A challenge to write, with your hand, a letter a week to someone....anyone.
I, for one, LOVE receiving letters in the mail. Don't we all search through it each day in hopes of something personal in there? I know I do.
I have worked at teaching my kids to write thank-you notes, but society is pushing on them the idea that everything can be done through email and FB.....and yes, lot's of things can. But it is hard to go back through emails and FB when you need encouragement. I keep a box at the end of my bed, just like my mom did, that holds cards and letters that have been meaningful to me. When I get down or discouraged, I often times pick up that box and read through those cards.....they instantly put a smile on my face.
If you read my blog during Christmas, you know that letters are very important to me. Each of my family writes a letter to each other at Christmas.
So, I am going to try this challenge.
I am a bit late...2 weeks are already down...but I think I can make those up easily. The hardest part for me will be getting it to the mailbox! ha!
Here's where you come in....
...would you like to receive a letter or card from me?
If so, email me your address and I will put you on my list!!!
But better yet, why don't you join me?
You might just make someone's day!!

This one i an do. I have already written about 5 notes and mailed them this year! YAY!
I saw this on Rebecca Jo's site too and I think this is such a cool idea. I'm just so terrible at writing letters, but I'd like to be better.
I'm considering joining in on this one. Actually I got some really neat stationary or note paper for Christmas. May be a way to use it. I'll have to see if I can get the courage up to really commit to it.
Like it. I'm in.
What a wonderful plan! One of the MANY things I adore about Christmas is the cards/notes/letters that come SNAIL MAIL. It is so much fun to find a personal note in the mail!
BRAVO!
i LOVE getting mail...i'm in
I'm already ahead of schedule, maybe I should join!
At the end of the year I take the old calendars and make cards out of the beautiful pictures. Then I love using them. But not till this year have I purposed to HANDwrite more notes, and I have more time to do so.
Sara, this sounds like a great challenge and I'll have to think about it for at least a couple of days. I'm afraid if I add one more thing I might feel like I'm drowning. LOL
I didn't get your email, could you send it again? deje34 at msn dot com Thanks...it must be floating somewhere in cyberspace. haha
Wow, I like it! I think I might be able to join in! I love getting letters and cards but they are so far and in between.
I'm getting WAY too excited about this!!! haha!!!
I have been online today looking for a new address book.. that's my BONUS to kick this off! ;) AT least what I'm going to tell my husband when he wonders what that is on our bill :)
This sounds like a great challenge... since I make handmade cards I can write in them and send them out each month. Thanks for the encouragement to do so!
Great challenge! Is a fun way of getting to know more about on-line friends beyond being on-line.
Have fun!
love this idea!
i love writing and getting handwritten notes. i just might join you :D
I love the idea! Unfortunately I'm terrible with getting the letter to the post office and stamped... even worse is my chicken scratch! But I will give it some thought.
I love getting "real" mail! I would love to do this. I'm always buying cute cards and then they just stay in my drawer.
I love REAL mail...so I am taking the challenge....and sending you my address. I want a letter too! Have a blessed day.
I would love to get a handwritten note from Sara! :-) Add me to your list! What a great idea this is...I have all this beautiful stationery but hardly ever use it due to email and Facebook. I love browsing at Ross or TJMaxx for unique paper but don't use it nearly often enough.
What a great idea, Sara! I'm gonna email you my address. :)
Sounds like a plan, or sounds like a plan right now anyway...not so sure about the follow through.
I do however know exactly what you mean about getting a note in the mail. Just gave me an idea for a post....
Blessings

I really have to consider this one. I just don't know if I can follow through.
That being said I'd love for you to send me a letter. I'll shoot you an e-mail.
Hugs & love,
Mimi
It'll be a challenge. I'll give it a try. I have a whole lot who I can send a letter to.
Sara, I'll email you my postal address. I'd love to hear from you. =) I'll send one in return.
What a great idea...but surely a challenge these days.
