One year ago today, my Aunt slipped into the arms of Jesus.
This was one of the hardest weeks of my life and it is difficult to believe that a year has gone by.
A year without her smile.
I miss her so much.
I miss...
*her infectious laugh
*her wisdom
*the way she hated me taking bites of food off her plate (but let me anyway)
*tomato gravy
*her beautiful backyard that could have graced the cover of Southern Living
*her prayer support
*her listening ear
*chili dogs at Fuddruckers
*a stick of gum in birthday cards
*finding all the expired food in her kitchen
*checking her dryer lint catcher
*shopping for great deals
*eating at Dixie House Cafe
*just visiting on the phone ....or in person
*how much she loved me
I miss her.

I KNOW you miss her just from your loving post...
what fun you had with her :)
beautiful memories...
so, who are you gonna be "Aunt Mary Nelle" to??
your smile is contagious too!
What a beautiful photograph of your aunt. I wish I could hug you in person, but I'll be praying for you. God's hugs are best anyway.
Sara - She sounds like she was a great lady! I know you miss her. Hugs for you...
Hugs to you as you remember your aunt!
stick of gun in cards...reminded me of what a treat that was when I was growing up in Argentina and we received birthday and greeting cards from the USA :)
Praise the Lord you will see her again someday!
I love the stick of gum in cards. For me: my grandma always had eskimo pies in her freezer for us.
Sara, I am sorry that your world is without her, and there is so much to miss of her. She is such a lovely woman. It is hard when what we once had to see, touch, hear and smell is not there, but oh how much sweeter will all those things be when we are together in Heaven. Sending you loving thoughts and ((hugs)).
What great memories you have of your aunt!! I'm sending you a hug :)
Extra love to you today my friend!
Oh Sara...I am so sorry. Big hugs to you. I can't believe it has been a year already. What a precious gift her life was and continues to be to you.
Has it really been a year already? Missing people is one of the hard parts of life. She sounds like such a wonderful lady. I'm sure you have many great memories involving her.
P.S. Thanks for checking in on me. I appreciate your kind words! I'm hoping to be back to blogging real soon. Life has been much busier than I would like for it to be, but all is well.
((hugs)) What a beautiful lady! That is so neat that you have so many beautiful memories. So cool that you will see her again someday & hear that laugh again. I miss my grandpa like that too.
Wow, has it been a year already? I'm sure it still seems like yesterday to you Sara! Just from the things you say, I can tell she was a lovely person and a wonderful Aunt to you....it's no wonder why you miss her so much! Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture of her. Wish I could give you a big hug right now....just know I am hugging you in my heart! ~ Debra
