WYAW

I have so much to blog about that I can't even begin to figure out where to start!!

So, while I try to pull all my thoughts together....which is not easy as they seem to all be on a lazy susan in my mind installed by menopause.........I'll leave you with a few questions for Linda's What's Your Answer Wednesday!

1. Do you fill stockings for Christmas and if so, do you wrap each item?

2. What is your tradition on Christmas morning?

3. Turkey, beef or ham on Christmas day?

4. Matching Christmas pajamas?

Answers:

1. Yes, we fill the stockings. But, no, I don't wrap each item. I might wrap on or two, but mostly they just go right in.....less work that way! :)

2. My kids are early risers....even as teenagers!! So, they have to come to our room first and stay in there while Steve and I get the coffee (a must if I am going to enjoy it) on and set up any last minute items and the camera. Then the kids have to put on their Santa hats and come out doing the "Bowyer dance". They dance through the dining room around to where the Advent calendar is and put the angel on top of the tree. Then they come in the family room. We first open stockings, then santa bags (sent by my mom). After that, we pass out all the presents and then open them one at a time. After all the presents are opened, I make a Christmas tree out of cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we spend most of the day in our PJs just hanging out!!!

3. We have beef tenderloin or if I can afford it, prime rib.

4. I have made the kids matching Pjs since they were little. One year I bought them and the kids had a FIT....so I went back to making them. However, this has been a very busy and draining year and I made the decision to buy them.....my kids were wonderful and understanding and told me how great they were.....I love my children!!

Merry Wednesday!!!

1. Yes, we do stockings, and yes, I wrap the items....but no ribbons.

2. The kids need to come into our bedroom to wait for us to get everything ready (just like you) - and then they come racing out. We open stockings....I get breakfast going, and then we dive into the presents, one at a time - with the best one being opened last. After that we head to my Mom and Dads and meet up there with my sister's family.

3. Not sure what we are going to go with for Christmas this year - we've tried it all. I'm guessing ham.....

4. Everyone has special Christmas pajamas but they aren't matching.....

Looking forward to your upcoming posts - what a crack-up your description as to why you haven't gotten them posted yet!

1) Stockings are my favorite part. I wrap everything but the candy.
2) I have coffee, then we open our stockings and gifts from Santa. I make cinnamon rolls...I am thinking that dance is pretty cool, but it wouldn't work so well in our house, the kids see the tree as soon as they come out of their rooms.(same level)
3)I'm really not sure what Tonya will make, or IF she's making Christmas dinner on the 25th. We have Christmas Eve at our house with Tonya, Gary, My mom, and sometimes Rob's Grandma. This year we are having a sit down dinner with Prime Rib. I am SO nervous about it, I've never cooked it before.
4)I WISH. I wish I could sew clothes too. I buy the kids Christmas jammies.

1. Yes, we do stockings but I don't wrap stocking items.
2. Nothing crazy fun like your dancing kids. They all get into their stockings then we take turns with the gifts.
3. Christmas Eve - prime rib. Christmas day usually ham, but this year we are doing something different and having Mexican food.
4. The kids get to open one gift on Christmas eve., it is pjs...but they don't always match.

1. Stockings for sure - do not wrap
2. I get up before everyone else and get breakfast going. Sticky buns, cranberry orange rolls and an egg frittata. Once the kids get up we drag my husband out of bed and open stockings and presents. The neighbors come over and we open presents all over again and have breakfast.
3. We eat whatever we feel like having. We've had frozen pizza, ham, steaks, pork chops, whatever.
4. No special PJs.

Sara, that sounds like so much fun! I love that they dance to the trees and that they have matching pj's. So fun

1. we have stockings, but stuff is not wrapped in them

2. We read the Christmas story from Luke and then open gifts.

3. It just depends. We go to my in-laws and it's whatever they fix. The one must-have is their wonderful strawberry punch.

4. No I'm not that creative, but I love the idea.

gotta have STOCKINGS...we open these LAST (cause they're usually the BEST)
COFFEE FIRST then we open the gifts one @ a time...while my sweet rolls and Sister Shubert's sausage rolls cook in the oven
Turkey is on our table...I would prefer ham but hubby has grown away from it over the years...i won't be cooking this year though, we have other plans with family :)
dd always get new pj's ... i like to get us something matching but since she's older that's not cool anymore, so that is now a memory...got her some cute, peace-sign heart ultra soft flannel this year...i think she'll love them!
Merry Christmas!!!! Aren't you just SO EXCITED Kim's daughter's home...I'm so excited for them to be able to be together in Argentina...what a blessing!

Wow. You usually MAKE all their pajamas!? That's amazing! I also love that you have such a regimented morning from the "Dance of the Teens" to the cinnamon roll tree. Very cute.
