Fall Into Flavor
Several of you asked for the recipe for this after seeing it on my Project 365 post yesterday. My mom used to make this when I was young and when I saw it on StephieAnne's blog, I couldn't wait to make it for my family!!
Here is the recipe I got from StephieAnne!!!
DUTCH BABIES
1/3 cup butter
5 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
Put butter in 9x13 baking dish in 425 degree oven. While butter is melting, put eggs in blender and blend on high for one minute. Gradually add milk, then flour (slowly) - blend for 30 seconds. Remove baking dish from oven and pour egg batter in.
Bake at 425 until puffy (on lower-middle oven rack) 25 minutes.
Serve IMMEDIATELY (or have guests at least look at it immediately - as it will fall fast!)
I topped it with powdered sugar and syrup. But I think fresh fruit would have been great too!!!
Enjoy!!

Sara, just spreading the word about a free class that Jessica Sprague is offering, if you or anyone you know has photoshop or elements. I posted about it on my blog. Registration begins tomorrow! :)
HMMMMMM! That looks SO good!
Yum. And I can eat it!!!
Kinda like a puff pancake :-) I used to make a savory version of this with beef drippings instead of the butter when I'd make a roast. It's a British thing and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called.
I would totally take a bite {or plateful} if Bob & Jillian were not looking. ;) Looks yummy!
I'v never seen this before. Love it that you took the photo while it was still in the oven. I thought we were having birthday cake over here!! Happy Birthday to a very special woman of God!!
Looks yummy and I wish I could hire you to cook for me. :)
Ooooooo, that looks really good!
I have NEVER heard of this before. I can't even imagine, looking at that list of ingredients, what in the world it tastes like.
