This post is for Sara

This post is for Sara. She asked several questions about my last post and wanted to see some pictures up close.

First she asked about the writing on my wall in one of my pictures.  I love writing on walls.  In my house in IN, I had a friend paint the hymn "How Great thou art" on the walls of my music room.  It was gorgeous.  But when I moved to AR, my friend was not here to paint for me.  So, I found a web site, expressivewalls.com, where you could type in your words, pick the font and size, color and they would ship it to you.  You then simply press the words on your wall.  Very cool and easy!!

So, Sara, the wall you saw in the picture is the scripture "where two or three come together in my name..."

This is painted above my kitchen table.

I also have this scripture above my front door.

Next, you asked to see my Santas up close.  Well, these Santas were created by an american indiana from IN.  She would research one country each year and what their traditons were about Santa....what he looked like, carried, did.  Then she would create a santa for that country.  They are so much more beautiful in person, but here are a few.

This is the English santa

These are the English and Country Santas close up.

This is the Amish santa.  I also have a pioneer Santa.

Anyway, Sara, I am so glad you hosted that carnival!

Stayed tuned tomorrow for my "Santa story", I have to wait till my son leaves the house to get some footage.........

I love the writing on the wall!

(As long as it wasn't done with the hand like in Daniel! LOL)

Interesting. A couple of years ago, I looked up the wall writings and found them a bit pricey, but I'll check yours out. Thanks for the tip.

I see the handwriting on the wall! Isn't it fitting that many of our expressions come straight from the Bible? Thanks for the tip on how to get that done I could that and there's not a crafty bone in my body.; )

I love your saying on the walls! Unfortenuatly the walls in my living room are textured so that would not work for me. (And we pray God will let us move!) Maybe the next house!

Sara,

I LOVE the writings. I've always wanted to order something like that, but have feared that I would put it on crooked, it would peel off, etc. So, I've never braved past staring at them on the monitor.

Hugs,

Ohilda
