Homecoming win 41-14!!!!

We had a great homecoming yesterday!! And the game last night was awesome!! It was supposed to be a close game, but ended up being a blowout!

But the most exciting part for me was that our band had new band uniforms!!!

A few weeks ago, our band director got connected with a military school that had closed a few years ago. They had found a room in the basement full of new band uniforms...in our colors!! They told her she could have whatever was in the room that she could get out......this was a bit daunting because there was no electricity at the school and they had to retrieve everything in the dark! yikes!
As she told us about it, it just started sounding familiar. I thought it was a school in AR, but then found out it was in Missouri. Turns out that the uniforms came from Kemper Military School.

My dad graduated from Kemper!!!!! My boys were going to be marching in uniforms from my dad's alma mater!!! How cool is that?! It always amazes me what a small world it is some times!

So, Dad, enjoy the pictures! You would have been proud of your
grandsons last night!

Jason, drum major

Jared, french horn

The band is looking better and better.  It's hard to believe that this is their first year marching...ever!

Those almost-unbelievable coincidences in life convince me that the Lord watches over His own in small ways that we too often overlook.

What a touching story. Got goosebumps reading it.
Happy Homecoming!
