An amazing opportunity....

I have not blogged for a few days because I am crazy busy!!! I know I have said that before.....but this time I really mean it!!!

In one short week, I leave on a mission trip to Romania. But before I go, I have more to do than can fit into one week .....and all things that have to get done. please pray that I will have good time management (not my strong suit).

Anyway, next Thursday I will be leaving for Romania for 10 days. We will be hooking up with a mission group called Livada. Livada provides care for the many orphans in Romania. Specifically, we will be helping run a summer camp for the kids in the 3 group homes that Livada runs. These kids only get a vacation once a year and Livada has set up a "Mash" type camp in the country where we will be providing the kids with a camp experience. Our job will be loving on these kids, playing with them, hanging out with them and being God's hands and feet.

Below are the pictures of all the kids we will be ministering to. Please pray specifically for these kids. You can also go to Livada's website and see each of them by name. I feel so blessed to have their names and faces now to get to know so that there will be an instant connection when we see them. please pray for our team that we can have all their names memorized by the time we get there!!!! How awesome will it be for us to be able to greet them by name!!!

aren't they beautiful?!!!

On the weekends, we will be going to the hospitals in the city to hold and play with the babies. Romania has decided that it does not have an orphan problem and in doing so, closed all it orphanages. These kids, mostly gypsies, live on the streets or in foster care. The babies are just dropped at the hospital to live in cribs until they are old enough to go somewhere else. Oh, I can't wait to get my hands on those little babies and hold and hug them!!!

I do not know what to expect from this trip, but I do expect God to show up in a BIG way. He already has in that everyone on the team has been able to raise all the money needed...plus some!! God has provided all the supplies that we were asked to bring...plus some! And we have had donated personalized bags and shirts for each of the Livada kids....plus stuff to put in them! It has been amazing!!!

If you would like to partner with me in this mission by prayer, please email me (sarawbowyer@msn.com) and I will send you a list of specific prayer requests.

So, worst case, I won't be blogging for a few weeks. But hopefully, I will have internet connection in Romania and can upload a few pics for you all to see and keep you updated.

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Blessings on you, Sarah. I have done two short-terms, and they are life-changing.
