It's here.......

The day that will change our family dynamics forever..........we leave in the morning to take Alyssa to college. As we sat at dinner, each of us praying for her, I couldn't help but run through all the prayers I had said to God over 20 years ago. For two years, I prayed that God would allow me to have the privilege of being a mom....and then Alyssa was born....what a privilege it has been!! I look around at young people today and am awed and amazed at the young woman that Steve and I have raised......she is everything and more that I would have hoped for in a daughter. I can't take much credit for her because God has molded her inside and out since she accepted him as her savior when she was 3. Her love for God has showed it's self in many ways over the years......trying to evangelize our dog, bringing her brother to a saving relationship with Christ, reading her essay to her 2nd grade class telling them that the greatest gift she ever received was Jesus Christ, working with kids at camp, serving in church......too many ways to count. I am so excited to see where her love for God will take her now and what direction this new adventure will take.

I love my daughter more than words can express and tomorrow, and especially Sunday, will be extremely difficult for me. But it will be difficult in a good way! This is what we have worked for, molding and guiding her to be able to be on her own. She will do GREAT!

we all change tomorrow, there will be one less child in the house, alyssa will be on her own, I will be surrounded by BOYS, the boys won't have their sister to hang with or fight with........changes......
