Project 365 - Week 7

** I just realized that Simply Linked is down and there is no way to link on this post anymore. I don't know if it is temporary or permanent, but I apologize.  I will have to find another way to link.  anyone use a fairly simple linking program?***

Week 7.

Well, we still have not heard yet from Anderson University...we are on pins and needles around here!

I am currently sitting in a VERY quiet house......Steve is at a men's retreat, Jason had to be at work at 5:30 am and Jared is still asleep.  I am not one who usually likes the quiet, but today I am drinking it in.  Feels like my life has been very loud lately.

Here's my week.
Sunday
On, the way back home from Indiana today.  We stopped to get the missed picture of Jared in front of the school sign. I don't think this is their main sign, but seeing as we had 11 hours ahead of us, we used the first one we saw!  Doesn't he look grown up?!  That's my baby.  waaaahhhhhhhhh.

Monday
Today was a great day for our first snow because it allowed Jared and me to have a recovery day. What you see is about all we got.
dusting of snow in south = no school = all grocery stores out of basics 2 days ago.
seriously.

Tuesday
I made red velvet cake balls for my family for Valentine's Day.
wow, were they yummy!!!

Wednesday
Rosemary Potato Soup tonight.  Recipe from Rebekah.  So, so good.
And you can't have soup without some good bread!

Thursday
Tonight I had a Norwex party.  You might recognize this lovely lady...it's Lori!
If you don't know about Norwex cloths.....you should.  They are simply amazing.  Google it and find a distributor near you......your welcome.

Friday
This took my breath away today.
That is my BABY'S name.
How is that possible?

Saturday
Spent this morning finishing up my friend's laundry.  She had reconstructive surgery a few weeks ago from her cancer and last week developed a staph infection from an abscessed tooth.  She has had a rough time and is on IV antibiotics in her home.  If you think of it, please pray for a quick recovery for my friend, Ann.

Well, that's my week.  I have a very exciting week ahead of me.  I haven't been able to really think about it until this weekend (so I could keep focused!), but I leave for my yearly girls weekend!!!  More about that next time!

Haven't finished my post yet but had to read yours ASAP to see if there was any news from AU, have been watching all week and Mike asked today. As I suspected, it doesn't happen that quickly :(
Glad you got your photo by the AU sigh :)
All your food always looks delectable. i must find that bread recipe. Never heard of cake balls.
We just got back from an amazing concert by the Marion Philharmonic performed at Taylor. Another reminder of Jared and you all. You come to mind often. We were so blessed.
Have a wonderful girlfriends week.
Will pray for Ann.

I'm waiting to hear from grad schools right now, and it's excruciating! I hope Jared gets good news soon!

The snow looks lovely. We had some too, but it didn't close anything down, so I'm a little jealous!

Those cake balls look so good. And what a sweet idea for Valentine's Day. I'm so glad you liked the soup!

Snow. You have snow. I'm a little jealous. We haven't had any days cold enough for it to even think about snowing this winter. Thanks for hosting!

I saw from your son's letter that you are in Little Rock- that's my mom's hometown! She had very fond memories of growing up there.

For some reason I thought it was Jared's decision to make, not that you were waiting to hear from them.

Have fun on your girls weekend...it always looks like SO much fun!

Yes, Jared looks old...how does this happen?!

That snow...ha ha! I think that's even worse than us. But, hey, it's all about the ice layer underneath the dusting - that's the key to school closure! Around here, however, we do NOT sell out of products in grocery stores. =)

I wrote it as a comment on my blog, but OF COURSE, you are free to copy anything, ANY TIME from my blog - and never again need to ask.

(And yes, HUGELY powerful, I read the story to the family - it's gonna stick with me for a long time...)
