Project 365 - Week 4

 Week 4.

Well, this week was much slower for me.  My house got some much needed attention and so did the laundry!!!  :)

We are having crazy spring-like weather...in January!!!  I am working on my 2011 P365 book and by this time last year we had had snow, huge hail, tornadoes and more snow.  So wild.

Here's my week:
Sunday

Another concert today!
This time the Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra did a side-by-side concert with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra...it was amazing!  Jared even had a solo!

 Monday

I was making bread today and when I returned to the kitchen later, I found that Jason had been playing with the cornmeal left on the pizza peel.  Seriously, that boy can turn anything into art!

Tuesday
I wen to a Norwex Micro-fiber cloth presentation tonight at my friend Lori's house.
Seriously, these cloths are amazing.

This is me putting butter all over the window.
Then with TWO swipes of the cloth and just WATER...the window was squeaky clean!!!!
I am completely sold on this product!!

Wednesday

This is a very common sight at my house lately.....
...the start of the artisan bread I am making!!!!

Thursday

Today was a rainy, dreary day.
So, I made a big pot of Italian Sausage and Lentil Soup.
Perfect.

Friday
My Norwex micro-fiber cloths came today!!!
I am so excited about these...they are amazing!!
If you want your cleaning to be revolutionized..google it!!

Saturday
 Today was a baking day.
I made two rustic apple pies for a dinner tomorrow, two loaves of artisan bread and caramel sauce to top the apple pies.  I really love days like this!!  Then alyssa came over to learn how to play spades.  One of her aphasia patients wants help so that she can play with her family.
It was a pretty good day!!
So what has your week looked like?

A true artist never walks away from a pile of corn meal.....very nice!

Love all your baking, I love making crustatta (can't spell it but love making it!), very rustic and fun! You bread always turns out so wonderful. My oven is not so great. I never can get mine to brown like yours does:(

I have one of those window cloths, love it for my shower door!

Blessings

I made a cold beet gazpacho this week that we really liked. A good week for soup and bread, no matter the weather :) Your food photos look soooo good. I'd never heard of "rustic" apple pie, but now I want to try it!

Several other bloggers have mentioned those cleaning cloths. Sound amazing!

Your son cracks me up. Who else would think of using cornmeal to make art?! hahaha Reminds me of when we started homeschooling and found out our son was a kinesthetic learner, and the woman who tested him suggested we do lots of hands-on activities. One of them was "writing" his letters and numbers in a pan of sand, and Jon enjoyed playing around and making art in the pan too :)

Have a great week!

Yay! Glad you got your Norwex!! Isn't it awesome?

Congrats to Jared on his solo. I love the orchestra. Miss playing my flute.

Food...Love the stuff. :)

So. I'm shocked out of my mind that as many games as your family plays, Alyssa didn't already know how to play Spades!

Your whole family is just ridiculously talented - I think that only Jason could make me want to go on a cruise after that Italian disaster...

Love the bread & apple pie - yum!

I think I should check out those cloths for sure!

Every year I say I am going make my 365 posts into a book and every year it doesn't happen...maybe this will be the year! That bread, pies and soup looks delish! We have been having really nice weather here too...mid 70s and loving it! Awesome for J to have a solo and that boat on your board is pretty amazing! Have a great week

I'm glad you had a more relaxing week this time around. And I'm glad there were no weather disasters.

Good grief, that cornmeal art is neat. I'm impressed. And I wish I were that talented!

I'm a bit jealous of all of that homemade bread. There are few things better than the smell of freshly baking read permeating the house. Yumm!

I started to try to make the 2011 Blurb book today! It hasn't taken off yet. I may need to wait for help when you come. Can't wait.
Balmy weather here too. The flowers are confused.
So is Jason going to pursue an art major?
I hope to begin making bread this year.
Lentil soup-what a great idea!
Hasta pronto!!!

You have some seriously talented boys. Solo in the concert (with a major symphony no less) and then creating a master piece out of cornmeal. Impressive. :)

Ok, was the tip for using butter on a window in a Paula Deen cookbook? LOL
