As I continue my study in Isaiah, God continues to reveal Himself to me and I find myself wondering...
...why in the world do I rely on anything but HIM?!
Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand - Is 40:12
Can you imagine? The oceans are measured in the hollow of His hand!!
And marked off the heavens by the span
the "span" is the measure from tip of your pinkie to the tip of your thumb with your hand stretched out. So, He measures the HEAVENS with His hand!! Who else can do that?
And calculated the dust of the earth by measure
the DUST of the earth...how could you measure that?
Why in the world do we turn to each other, to ourselves, to things we make of our hands instead of Him? It seems so silly as I realize that I can never wrap my mind around how big He is.
And yet, this same, big, awesome God promises to take care of me..
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you , for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Why do I look anywhere else?
