Project 365 - Week 2

 Week 2.

Wow, this was a crazy busy week for me and I am glad it's over!!!

Lot's of unexpected twists and turns.  It didn't help that I spent most of the week recovery from my drive to Siloam Springs...it POURED the entire 7 hour trip.   And on the 3.5 hours back it not only poured, there was a dense fog.  It was probably one of the scariest drives I have ever had.  I was very sore the rest of the week from being so tense.

So I hope you all had a smoother, more relaxing week than I did!!

Here's mine:
Sunday

One thing I love about this time of year is the Ruby Red Grapefruit I can find in the grocery store!
  I love them!!
I love to peel them like an orange and eat them that way.
Monday
The Fine Arts Council at our school is hosting Tim Hawkins next week.  We have almost sold out 1400 tickets!!!  I made posters today to walk the carpool line at school for a last minute push to sell those last tickets!

Tuesday
Jason is moving home for a semester.  Alyssa and I drove up today to help him move all his things home. Before we left, we stopped for coffee with him and Andi at Pour Jon's.
Have you ever seen one of these timers?  It times how long tea, french press coffee, etc need to steep.  very cool!!

Wednesday

We've been able to enjoy our fireplace a couple of times this week!
**don't look at the mess**
Thursday
Jason cut his thumb this morning trying to slice some bread.  He ended up with 3 stitches.  But I did enjoy seeing him sit on the scooby doo table!!!

Friday
On my Friday breakfast date with my husband and had these.  These are the best grits you will ever taste!!!
Gouda grits.
My mouth waters just thinking about them!!
Saturday
Finished this book today.  It's the 2nd book in the Hunger Games series.  Wow.  Very good and very intense!!!  Can't wait to get to the 3rd!

So how was your 2nd week of the year?!!  link up and share!!!

That is a really interesting timer. Here at our house we love tea and specifically loose leaf tea so a tea timer would be perfect for us.
Gouda grits sound so yummy! I haven't had grits in a really long time. I may have to add them to our menu sometime soon.

Rain + Fog = Agony
I'd probably be sore from being tense too!

Yum on the grapefruit!
Poor Jason :( But the table sure is cute :)

Haven't read any of the Hunger Games books yet. Keep hearing about them though.

Have a great week!

Ouch on the stitches. I thought that the grits were mashed potatoes...can you tell I'm born and raised on the west coast for not recognizing them?

I read the Hunger Games series and the last book is Eh, but still worth reading. Enjoy.

Your drive sounds awful!!
I LOVE grapefruit too, but I actually prefer the white even more. (the more sour, the better!)

What is Jason going to do at home?
Glad his finger was ok. Maybe this Christmas your Santa will need a Scooby Doo gown! ;)

Have a great week my friend!!

Wow those grits look FABULOUS - yum! I should get one of those timers for Mike - he got a French Press coffee maker with some of his Christmas money.

Driving in bad weather....NO FUN AT ALL! Glad you arrived safely!

Red Grapefruits is one of my all time fav's, I eat mine the same way too!

Love grits anyway I can get them!

I hope Jason's thumb is mending!

I read a preview of the Hunger Game on my kindle, very interesting. Now the DD and I both want to read the series!

That IS hilarious with Jason sitting on the table. But I'm wondering....who is it for? Is Scooby Doo still playing? I know my kids wouldn't have a clue what it was.

FIre + football...very nice!

The Hunger Games sound too intense for me, I think.

I'm sorry about that drive. Not a fun way to start off the week.

I love grits, I love cheese and I love Gouda. And those Gouda grits sound amazing. I think I'm getting hungry!

I haven't read any of the Hunger Game books, but I've heard great things about them. Maybe I should pick one up!
