Project 365 - Week 36

 Week 36.

This was a busy but great week for me.  I felt like I got a lot accomplished and still had plenty of "me" time.....pretty perfect!! And to top it off, football season started which means so did marching band!! I loved being back in the stands watching my son!!!

I have been on a new-recipe-trying kick and tried several new ones that I found on Pinterest.......if you haven't heard of it or gone to check it out yet, what are you waiting for?  I am very quickly getting addicted to it!!  Between that and Foodgawker......sheesh.  But I think my family is happy about it because they have loved all the recipes I am trying!!!

I am actually writing this on Friday because I am busy getting ready for a house full of college students this weekend!!!  My house is going to be full, noisy and so much fun!  I can hardly wait!  I hope everyone has a safe and fun Labor Day weekend!!

Here's my week:

Sunday

Today's snack for our Children's Church Safari theme!!
Monday

I was really in a funk today.
But I was able to have lunch with my bff, Wendi, and it made things so much better!!
I came home and made this wonderful recipe for dinner!
Tuesday

Jared's first game as Drum Major!!
Wednesday

Another new recipe!!
we all loved it!
Go here for the recipe.
Thursday
My favorite baby boy came for a visit tonight while his parents went on a much needed date!!! And he was very snuggly, which made it even better!!!

Friday
It was a day of watching the US Open...oh, I love this time of year!!

Saturday
my buddy, Daniel was here again today.  His mom was very sick and asked if he could spend the afternoon with me....of course I said YES!!!

My niece and her roommate are here for the weekend.  They are getting some homework done while we are watching football....their parents would be proud!!!  :)

So how was your week?  do you have big plans for the weekend?

I'm currently trying to distract myself from the sorrow I'm wallowing in because of what the score looks like with the LSU-Ducks game....your blog is indeed a good diversion.

I love those cupcakes - SO CUTE! I'm so glad to hear that it's been a good week full of a good balance of time for you. I hope your tennis viewing is turning out better than our football viewing. It's looking like both of our Oregon teams are starting off with a big 'ol "L" this weekend.... =(

Yummy food. What was that sandwich looking thing? The bread on it looked so fresh I could almost smell it.

The perks of being a drum major--to be escorted by two pretty girls???
So fun to have niece and friend come over! They haven't gotten caught up in all the college life extra curriculars yet.
Have a marvellous week!

That little guy looks good enough to eat :) Those chubby little cheeks just beg to be pinched (ever so gently, of course!).

Looks like a good week in every way, especially gastronomically! We've been "home" so little I haven't had opportunity to cook much, but now I'm inspired to try something new!

Food all looks so good, as usual. I didn't click any links, though. Couldn't do that to myself. Full-out fast going on right now. :( But I'd definitely kill to take a bite out of that ciabatta bread right about now!!!

We love to watch the Open, too!! Paul was a big tennis player in high school and college. So we're fans. In fact, we almost decided to go to NY for vacation. Been there before, but never during US Open. Wouldn't it be so much fun?

I ♥ football season too!!! I wish our band was as good as yours...to put it lightly ours sucks in the spirit department...at our game Friday night (against our in-district rivals mind you) they didn't play hardly at all while in the stands, not even when we scored...no fight song, no nothing. Quite sad. Your boy looks great in his uni tho; I am sure he is gonna be a GREAT drum major! A full house is always a fun house! And I am falling in love with Pintrest as well...loving all of the recipes on there...YUM!
