Project 365 - Week 22

Week 22.

This has been a bit of a stressful week for us.  Last week of school for Jared, finals all week.  Looking for an apartment for Alyssa.....not finding anything we both are ok with.  Car issues.  My father-in-law was hospitalized and we are not sure what is causing his problems...and we are 7 hours away.  A mess in our pool....pictures to follow.

So, I have to tell you that a 3 day weekend with NOTHING on the calendar was VERY welcome!  I am usually one that likes to have a big BBQ on Memorial day or be going somewhere, but this weekend, I am content to stay at home with my family and relax.

Hope you are having a safe and fun memorial weekend!

Here's my week:

Sunday

Steve's throne chair broke.
It will no longer recline....he is making due till we get it fixed!
Monday

My first calla lily of the season!!!
I think these are the most beautiful and classy looking flowers!

Tuesday

These beauties are called Hot Lips!!!
Love them.

This is one of my Magnolia blooms.
Oh my word, these smell SO GOOD!!!
Wednesday

This is the hail that came down at my house this afternoon!
There were many bigger than this, but see the pointy edges on those?
Ya, I didn't want to run out there and grab any more....those would hurt!!!
Thursday
No picture today.
And to be honest, I am not sure why?
The good news though is that we found an apartment for Alyssa!!!  One that is convenient for her and SAFE for me!!!
Friday
This 1st day of summer started out perfect.....Alyssa made breakfast for everyone!!!
Jared has to play in the band for graduation...I love that he didn't even ask me to iron his clothes!!!

Saturday
Wanna come swimming at my house?!!

With all the storms, we have not been able to open our pool.  However, with the warm temps the algae has overtaken!!!  It's going to take a while to get this mess cleaned up....ugh.

Link up!!!  We'd love to see what your week was like!!

Such gorgeous flowers. I love the smell of magnolias too.
We had hail one day, but nothing near as big as yours!
I hate ironing -- would rather clean the toilet than iron :)
Hopefully the storms will end soon and your pool can get back to normal -- although that is a pretty green color :)

I love the flowers this week they are gorgeous. I would love to have a pool...but would not love the upkeep. Glad you found an apartment for Alyssa that met both of your criteria's.

Great pictures of your blooms. Congrats on finding a new apartment for Alyssa. Hope you figure out how to get your pool cleaned out quickly. Do you have frogs and tadpoles living in there too? :)

I had callas in my wedding bouquet too - I think Rebecca Jo & I are secret sisters :)

I'm glad you found a good apartment for Alyssa - but too bad she won't be living with you to do breakfast every day :)

That hail, omigosh...nothing even close to that size here in Oregon.

I think I'll pass on the swim in the pool...with all the storms you've had, I bet you're glad you didn't clean it out earlier.

So happy to see your kids in the house with you!

Looks like a wonderful start to your summer, aside from the pool. ugh

So glad you found a good apartment for Alyssa.
How can Steve function without his chair?!
Your poor, poor pool!!

Have a great week!

Love your flower pics!!!

And, ahem, to answer your questions, I rode in the front (though I did ask if I needed to ride in the back, LOL!) and my knee was perfectly fine by that evening. My ankle weirdly still kind of hurts when I run, but it's very minimal, more of a "Hm, that's there" than anything else.
