Project 365 - week 12

 Week 12.

Well, I just spent a fantastic week with my daughter in Arizona visiting my family.  The older I get, the more I seem to miss Arizona.  I wish I lived closer and could go home more often!!!

 Here's my week:
 Sunday

Look to the sky!!!  Christ must be returning!!
My mom is pumping her own gasoline!!!
This is the woman that would go out of her way and pay more to go to a self service station.  when those went under, she would pay her grandchildren to go pump her gas for her!!!!
I seriously nearly fell out of the car.
Monday
I was sitting on my parents porch having my coffee and doing my quiet time when I heard a very strange noise.  Turns out this hot air balloon was flying over my parents house....nearly landing on the house!!!!  Unfortunately I didn't think to get my camera out till it made it down the street....crazy!!!
I had so much fun going to my niece's softball game tonight.  And what a beautiful backdrop for the game!!!  I miss those mountains so much!!!

Tuesday

We went ATVing in the desert today.
See my last post for some more pictures.
We found a Gila Monster (pronounced "heela")
I have only see one other one in the wild in my life!  It is very rare to see them and they have a deadly bite...so I think my brother and daughter are crazy in this picture!!!

Wednesday

today my mom treated me to a 2 hour facial.
oh.my.word.......I love her!
Thursday
I got to have lunch today with 2 friends I have known since elementary school.  It is always so fun to see how those friendships pick back up so quickly even when we don't see each other very often!!!

Friday
Today Alyssa and I flew home to Arkansas.
It is always so sad to leave my parents!
We watched this movie on the plane....great movie!
Saturday
Today is the ONE day I have all 3 of my kids home!
Alyssa leaves tomorrow to go back to school, Jason just got home tonight and the 3 boys are leaving tomorrow to take Jared to visit some colleges.
Of course, we had to play cards!!
Time for us to see your week!!!  Link up!

Looks like you had a great time! I'm so jealous you've now had a massage and a facial - if you get a pedicure, it's war! :)

Looks like a really wonderful week! I've never been to Arizona but it looks like a great place. Love the pic of your mom pumping her own gas. :)

That blue, blue, blue CRYSTAL CLEAR sky in Arizona is just killing me. SO beautiful - and it looks like you took nothing for granted in getting in all the fun and experiences you could while you were there. Enjoy your spring break flying solo....

I love playing cards. Which game did you play?

Great week. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD

Welcome Home!!

So glad you both had a great time with your family. And your mom with the gas pumps - I can relate. My husband takes my car and fills it up.

And you and grade school friends - here we go.... I bumped into a grade school/high school classmate at a ball tourny yesterday. Hadn't seen him in about 6 yrs. He figures we have known each other 42 yrs. And I did not have my camera there.

I linked up with my email - what was I thinking????

How can it take two hours to enhance your face? ;)
We'll see if the men call. Would be fun to meet your hubby and son.

A 2 hr facial???? I'd be in a coma, sound asleep!

I had to laugh about the comment of your mom pumping gas... I'd feel the same if my mom pumped gas.

Look at how close that balloon is!!!! WOW!!! That's night a sight you dont see every day!

I'm so glad that you had such a great week! I'd be a bit worried if the hot air balloon was that low, that doesn't seem right, lol.

Hugs & love,
Mimi

I can see why you miss your home state! We are looking forward to visiting it for the first time this year when we go to visit a supporting church in the Phoenix area. Can hardly wait!

Looks like you had an AMAZING week! Loved all the photos and had to laugh at your mom pumping gas :)

AZ is AWESOME!!! My grandma lives in Scottsdale, and looks a lot like your mom. And I just about died when she started pumping her own gas too. Funny stuff!

Great week!

Super funny comment about your mom! My MIL is the same way.

We made a stop in Arizona on our last vacay, super hot but we drove through some wonderfully beautiful scenery on the way to Yellowstone!

Have a great week!

What's the chance that we'd both have lizards in our weekly pictures. Love it!

I love when you post about your kids all being home. We had 4 days together here and it just makes me feel complete. Pure happiness.

If you had only taken the picture of your mom and posted that, it would have been worth a week's worth. So funny! Mom's are great.

Hope this coming week is just as wonderful!

What an exciting week! Arizona really is a pretty place, isn't it? Love those mountains in the baseball picture. And that hot air balloon thing is pretty cool!! I've never ever been near one. (Nor would I ever get near one by choice! No desire to soar high above anything...) Glad you got to be with family. And that was hilarious about your mom!! I've never had a problem pumping my own gas, except for when it's really cold and windy. Then I'd gladly pay someone to do it!! LOL!

Awesome week! Your mom's hair is GORGEOUS! I had to laugh out loud about her pumping her own gas. MY MOTHER still does not pump her gas!

SO NICE to have the kids together EVEN for one day!

Enjoyed catching up with a visit with your trips, your fam, your adventures as well as your misadventures (i.e. Lily). I'm certain your empty nest will not be empty since your heart is so full... so take my word for it and keep your running shoes on.
