And so it begins.....

Graduation season

Ready or not.

May 1st starts the count down....

grad night at church....May 8
honors night......May 10
last day of school (for seniors) .....May 11
senior trip.....May 20
graduation....May 28

And so begins all the stuff I have to do to get ready for each thing.

I.will.be.busy

to say the least

and emotional

quite possibly fluctuating in both directions
(if you know what I mean)

So please pray for me!

Several of you commented on Jason's graduation announcements from P365 and how they had changed since you were in school...

Well, they haven't changed.
The schools still offer the traditional announcements,
but they have gotten quite expensive!!
You have to buy the announcement,
the name insert and then add a wallet sized photo....
..and it all adds up to a pretty sum.

So, I decided to create my own on shutterfly
they were much cheaper
and being the non-traditional girl I am...
...I like them MUCH better!!

So, keep that in mind for your future senior because there are way too many other expenses!!!

many, many other expenses.....ugh.

I think your invitations are beautiful. He looks so handsome...much better than a wallet sized photo. I know you will do a great job with everything. You are so gifted. Congratulations to Jason. He is a fine young man.

We did our own to with a photo. I think these are so much more personable! Be a trend setter!

Oh, what a May you will have!

I loved the invitation even though it was very different. We never put photos in ours way back when. And I can see how the official ones would get expensive quickly!

I need to learn from you this May so I'll be ready next year!

And how in the world do they get done so early?!

What a cool idea! Love it and will keep it in mind (although I doubt my menopause brain will remember this in three years...sigh).

The announcement looks great!

And yes, such an emotional and busy time. Hang in there, sweet lady.

The last few weeks my mom was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I think she was glad she had twins, thus only one party, one graduation, only one everything!

Good luck!!

As wonderful as it is... It will also be very hard. I think the announcement looks wonderful. You are a wonderful Mom. :)

My baby is getting ready to graduate from college and we can't be there to see it. I try not to think about it too much or I get all weepy. Friends and family will be there, and folks from our home church are helping put together a little open house for her the following week back at our old home (the parsonage). I hate missing big things like this, but in the words of my husband, "It is what it is." *sigh*
Love the cards you created on Shutterfly. When our son was graduating high school we made our own announcements. First time I ever did any stamping or card making :-)
