Project 365, week 2.
Here we are at the 2nd week. I have to say that after doing it for a year, it doesn't seem as daunting to think I have 50 weeks to go!! So for you newbies....hang in there!
Speaking of newbies, we have quite a few new people joining us this year. So, for those of you who are old hands at this, please be sure and go visit them and encourage them with a comment. And those of you that are new, we all love comments on our pictures. So be sure to visit all the other links and let them know you were there!! No lurking in P365!! :)
Here's my week:
Sunday
We started a new unit in children's....Daniel!
the kids get to walk into the mouth of a lion!!!
the mane is coming!
Alyssa and I spent some girl time together today and went to a movie. I had a great time with her, but the movie was pretty bad. Good message, but expected more.
Wednesday
This beautiful cake was delivered to me today.
Our Youth pastor inadvertently dissed me while preaching a couple of weeks ago and I told him his only way out was a chocolate cake (he makes the BEST!)

Mmmm, that cake looks wonderful!!
We've been cold here, too but it's been sunny and dry!
What a fun week you had!!! Looks like some good memories with a famil birthday and special time wih Alyssa !!!!
Have a wonderful week!!!!
Looks like a wonderful week! I am still smiling at school being canceled for that dusting of snow. :)
Those cakes look SO DELICIOUS. I was going to make a pecan pie this week but with Ivan sick I held off (no sense making him see and smell but not be able to taste). Now it'll have to wait until we get back from Mendoza.
Band Hero looks fun. And funny :-)
I get the shivers just looking at the frost on that windshield. Brrrr!
So glad you got an extra day with your girl :-)
Have a great week! Hopefully I'll have some stunning photos of the Andes for next Sunday!
Mmm - both of those cakes look FABULOUS! I want some too!
Yeah, we got a LITTLE more snow than you guys did - but I guess we're supposed to, aren't we?
Love the lion - I'd like to see it with the mane.
SUN: Shepard can’t stop looking at the lion. You gotta’ stop posting these photos of your Children’s Unit Door. You know we’ve all got to go through our junk draws to find stuff to replicate this for our little kids, don’t you??! **I’m too old to raise a five year old boy!**
Mummy: funny! That doesn’t really rhyme, does it?
MON: Phffff!!!! hahahahahahAHA! You call that snow? Yes. That’s “CRAZY”
Happy Birthday Jared!!! ...and you are too young to be raising a sixteen year old.
TUES: Not heard of that movie, but Breckenridge is a Ski Resort. hehehe.
WED: OKAY! No more pokin’ fun. That’s some serious WINteR! Great Shot!
THURS: Please invite your Youth Pastor to diss me too. :)
FRI: I could so sense your excitement on FB when you shared that she was staying one more day. One day is an eternity sometimes, isn’t it?
Red Velvet Cake: I’ve no comment, but that I’m getting out my Joy of Cooking after I click [Publish Your Comment]
Happy Lord’s Day Tomorrow, Sara!
Some weeks, Project 365 keeps me goin’ This was such a week! Blessings to you and your family. & Thank you for your prayers :)
So, did she ever find her keys?
Those cakes look so good! And you always do the most amazing things for your children's ministry.
both of those cakes look delicious... wish I could enjoy some... but I am trying (with the Lord's help) to stay away from sweets for a while. I really need to lose some weight.
We are in the middle of a prayer and fasting time and I have to say that choc cake just about did me in!
I'm so happy you got to have such a nice time with your daughter. And what a blessing to have an extra day! The house must seem quiet without her!
Cute picture of the family band. You could practically pass for Darla's family. :)
Great week!
Jamie....we never did find the keys. They are somewhere in this house..some day we will find them!
Lisa....I laughed out loud at your last comment!!! we could pass in the picture, but I can assure you we don't SOUND like Darla's family! :)
Hard to lose the last of the baby weight with pictures like that making me want to run to my cupboards looking for chocolate! As for the snow. HAHA! We actually got a good deal of snow a couple of weeks ago. The most here in almost 10 years I think. Audrey had a blast playing in it.
Btw, how do I add the Mr. Linky button to the bottom of my P365 posts? Also, can people who don't have a blog (like my mom) leave comments on my posts?
Thanks for all your help. I am having so much fun already!
Boy, Sara, have you counted the cakes on this post? I'm hungry now!
I started the photo project this year but called it something else by mistake, LOL. I love all your photos, I've enjoyed lurking over the past year. Thanks for the inspiration.
I start a cleanse and you show me yummy cake. Sigh.
So glad you got extra time with your girl. ;)
Chocolate cake and red velvet cake all in one week...my knees are weak.
My family loves our Guitar Hero jam sessions too...such silly fun!!
Great pictures and thanks for hosting this.
Amy
Well, at least you ATE well this week! YUMMY!!!!!!
And thank you Jesus for extra girl time! What a Blessing!
Who comes up and puts together those amazing unit displays?!!!
Daniel story reminds me of when I was a little girl. The SS teacher asked at the end, "So, why didn't the lions eat Daniel?" My answer, "Because they're made of paper!" (Duh! Does anyone remember the flannelgraph days?)
"mummy" that's 'mommy' in Brittain.
Sara, I responded to your question on my blog comments. Wrong place, duh...
Both of those cakes look awesome! So glad you had an extra day with your daughter!
The picture of Jared at dinner got me. You post pictures of him all the time but in that one he looks like a man! So glad the whole family was together to celebrate him!!
You sure have a lot of cake for someone trying to get the sugar out of the house. My philosophy is hurry up and eat it so it won't be there to tempt you any more.
Happy Birthday Jared!
Looks like you need that faucet covers too. They are to keep your pipes from freezing so they don't burst.
I forgot to add, I LOVE the lion's mouth! I always love your children's ministry projects.
Hey There! I'm jumping on the project 365 bandwagon. I did not participate last year but I enjoyed all the pictures of those who did. I missed last week but I up for this week!
Great pictures.
Have a great week!
Blessings
Robin
