Random Dozen

Joining Linda at 2nd cup again this Wednesday for Random Dozen.

1. When was the last time you craved a food--what was it, and did you cave? Tonight!! and yep, I caved!! I was craving fried pork chops and mashed potatoes!!! Good southern comfort food. Boy was it good!

2. M & M's or Skittles? No question.....M & Ms. I prefer peanut.

3. Have you ever read the Bible completely through? yes.

4. How long does it take you to really wake up in the morning? a long time....just ask my family. When the kids were young (and didn't understand stay away from mommy till 1 cup of coffee), I would get up 1 hour before they did so that I could wake up on my own time!!!

5. Have you ever been on a cruise? If not, would you like to? YES!!! I have been lucky enough to go on several and I feel it is the only way to vacation!!!

6. Who is your favorite actress? you know, I don't think I have one because I can't come up with a name.

7. ______ is something that I will just never understand. vegetarianism. I love my meat!

8. How much of a technology junkie are you? compared to my kids.....very low. Compared to my parents.....extremely high. Compared to my peers.....somewhere on the upper 1/2.

9. Do you enjoy selecting greeting cards for people, or is it more of a cultural "have to" for you? I love selecting greeting cards. In fact, I am always looking for good ones. I buy them ahead and keep them in a box so that I have them ready when needed.

10. When was the last time you got a new style/haircut? a year ago...but with curly hair...all styles seem to end up looking the same!

11. What do you enjoy shopping for most? anything for my kitchen!!

12. What's the last thing you think of before you leave the house? Do I have everything I need....where's my list?

A few years ago my family decided to go on a cruise as a vacation to get everyone together but not have the hassle of cooking, cleaning and figuring out who is driving. Since then we have gone on a cruise each year (except for last year ~ which we all agree was a huge mistake... we really missed our cruise) Looking forward to our cruise this year.

I love meat too so I just don't understand Vegetarians.

If you are ever looking for specific greeting cards... I love making cards and do custom made also... my site www.zizziecards.com is currently down and my etsy shope only has Christmas stuff on it right now but I will be working on that.

Have a great week!

My oldest is a vegetarian, I don't understand it either, and I don't particularly like cooking for it when he comes home. It's always good to cook for him though, does that make sense?

I love to shop for the kitchen too.

I have curly hair too and I know exactly what you mean.

We definitely are a lot alike :-) So many of your answers could be mine.

You were absolutely "spot on" with the energy saving gadget. Ours not only turns on the lights, but also the a.c. -- which means we always return to a hot, stuffy room :-( Oh well, it is what it is.

Amen to #7!

And I didn't think of it, but I love kitchen stores too! Don't know why that or books didn't come to mind!

LISTS! Love them...I am THANKFUL for them....without them I would not accomplish ALL the things I need to do.

I am on my way out the door RIGHT now...with my list!

Have a joyous day Sara!

Peanut m&m's are one of my favorites too-anything with chocolate!

I want to go on a cruise, but I'm scared! What's the second best kind of vacation? What about with younger kids?

You remind me of my aunt who will literally spend an hour trying to find the perfect greeting card for someone's b'day. I'm going to tell her to start buying them in bulk when she finds a good one!

I think random posts are some of my faves.

I can't think of a favorite actress either. And believe it or not, I prefer skittles. (gasp)

I am loving question #7. There are SO many different answers coming up. And I agree with you, I love meat too!
Loved your answer for #8, well done.
"Where's my list?" Cracked me up!

What would I do without my lists? I know forget half of the stuff I need to remember.

I also love shopping for my kitchen...so many neat gadgets out now, especially all the silicone stuff. Just love it.

Great answers
Amy

I struggle with the cost of cards these days...so I go back and forth on this.

But, I found one that had a washtub full of sleeping puppies on the front and on the inside it said, "They were all out of barrels of monkeys." I just KNEW I had to buy it and I held it and held it and held it -- and then one of our ladies at Bible Study is having a really tough time and stepped out of leadership for a while but we want her to know that she has only physically left us, not spiritually, so I added "one of our monkeys is missing but we'll take you back whenever God tells you you're ready." I got everyone to sign it so I'll pop it in the mail tomorrow.

So that one was worth the $$...Have a great Thursday

Cards are so fabulous and I LOVE your idea of buying them ahead of time....I always see some I love but do not get them at the time...I am going to start buy them and putting them in a box!

I adore buying things for the kitchen. I cannot wait to have my own kitchen one day!
