Random Dozen
I am joining Linda today for Random dozen. I do have to say that these questions taxed my already somewhat foggy brain.....a little to deep for me!
1. Which Wizard of Oz character are you most like? seriously? I have no clue.......maybe the scarecrow because with menopause, my brain seems to have left my body.
2. When you're deciding what you're going to wear each morning, which item do you select first? Why? really? some people start with the same item first each day? I start with...how late am I and what is fastest......or......I am feeling fat today, let's go for the scrubs.......or.......I'm not leaving the house so let's stay in the PJs!
3. What kind of animal do you think the world could live without? my first thought was mosquito......then I realized it is not an animal.....hmmmmm........how about a duck billed platapus.
4. How many Christmas trees are in your home? none yet......I'm still in semi humbug mode. But there eventually will be 3. First our big one in the family room, then my miniature one that my friends gave me when we moved from IN. They each gave me an ornament for it too. Then the 3rd will be out on our front porch.
5. Would you prefer to be emotionless if it mean you didn't have to feel a heartbreak? absolutely not. How could you even understand heartbreak without knowing the wonder of a high?
6. Do you ever experience holiday let-down or depression? yes.
7. Do you like Michael Jackson's music?yep!! I used to crank my Off the Wall album (yes, album) all the way up in my dorm room. I am still trying to find time to see the movie.
8. Why is it that we never judge people who have their teeth fixed for cosmetic reasons, but every other cosmetic procedure has a stigma? I don't know.
9. Enjoy horseback riding? a little. But the horses seem to know that I am afraid of them and then things tend to go very wrong.
10. Shoes--practical or stylish? yes.
11. What was the name of your first pet? Feel free to post a pic. His name was Prince and he was an australian shepherd. I don't have a picture, they are at my moms house.
12. What percentage of your Christmas shopping is done? zero........thanks for reminding me.

a duck billed platypus - you are so funny!
scrubs and pj's... my kinda gal. maybe in some parts of the world, mosquitoes are considered animals? well, in our neck of the woods, they are certainly big enough to qualify. ;)
It's ok, I didn't just say mosquitos, I included all bugs.
I'm totally with you on #9, even though ours are so sweet. I leave them for my daughters to ride.
We have lots of similar answers...Off the Wall..loved that and it had to be cranked and I had the album too. In fact my husband has just refurbished his turntable and my daughters are loving the album concept. Remember how much fun it was to get a new album?
I'm way behind on shopping too. Course it's not helped by the fact that I'm sitting here reading blogs and drinking coffee...have a great day!
WOW! Three trees?! Have fun decorating. Like you, I'm behind on shopping. Too many other pulls on my time right now. Blessings, SusanD
ditto on the "I'm not leaving the house so let's stay in PJs"
i just saw your award! Congratulations!!!
Things tend to go very wrong!
HAHA Sara, you are so silly!
Maybe I should not comment, because then you will have more to do and you did, today, say goodbye for awhile, but just wanted to say, Good for you! Take it easy. Tackle each task a step at a time. And maybe not ALL are really necessary. Thank you for all you have already shared and done for all of us!
Haha, what fun answers. I hope your brain returns better than ever. You are just darling! :)
Another pet named Prince! I think the horse answer is insightful! They definitely like to bully people.
Here's some advice for your crazy schedule. First thing tomorrow morning sit down with God and say, "this is my agenda. Show me what you want me to get done and fill me with peace about the things that don't get done. Thank you. Amen"
He really does stretch time and hearts...good luck
Sara, I can totally identify with your #2 answer. lol I had the Off the Wall album also and had tons of fun singing and dancing to it! I can't wait to go and see the movie! As for the christmas shopping...I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't started!
Well, everyone's post i read also had ZERO shopping done. Comforting. I've been shopping today... online... oh how simple it is!! Love to you and yours.
Great catch on the "animal" question! big duh on my part...or as the blonde joke goes, Duh Big Red Truck. I was humbug and decorating yesterday really helped and the message church really helped A LOT today!
