I don't want to make you jealous and all....but......

I got to meet the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond!!!

First off, if you don't know who that is......go here.......your welcome!

I asked for her cookbook for my birthday.....it was at the top of my list. It was an extra bonus that she was coming to Little Rock and I would be able to get her to sign it!

I was a little surprised that the book signing was at Walmart........wondering what that says about Arkansans........but it was actually a fantastic place. The line to meet Ree circled down the isles and around the store.....crazy! But if you came with a friend, like I did, you could get some needed shopping done while you waited! Bonus!

.....and it was worth the wait! Ree was as engaging and fun in person as she is on her blog. And I have to say that I am so impressed with Marlboro man...

...he actually went down the line as people waited and signed the back of the book......his picture.....and if you have the cookbook, you'll know which picture that is!

He even took pictures with all the ladies......pretty impressive. I think I even saw a lady ask to take a picture of his bumm......if you visit her blog or have the cookbook, you'll understand why............and no, he was not wearing chaps.....wranglers yes, chaps no....not that I was looking...

We finally made it up to Ree. She made you feel comfortable the moment you stepped in front of her.....I love her even more now!

I can't imagine how tiring this is for them. The line was so long behind me and they said that Ree would stay till everyone who wanted an autograph got one. I was praying for strength and endurance for her as I left.

If you don't know about the Pioneer Woman or her cookbook, you need to visit her blog. There is a reason she has such a huge following........

.....and after meeting her......I'm an even bigger fan!!!

Definitely jealous, but also cracking up that the signing was at Walmart. I'm from Arkansas so I can laugh at that. ;)

I'm so glad you got to go!!! That's a great picture of you with her-you look SO excited. I know which picture of her hubby that you're talking about, and I was kicking myself for not asking him to sign my book. Did he sign yours?

Ree told me they changed to that Wal-Mart. It is definitely the nicest one in town!

I just went on her website last night after seeing you mention this on facebook. Willowtree called me and invited herself over the weekend that Pioneer Woman is coming to MN. (Not that I mind Willoowtree, I LOVE her and any of my bloggy friends are welcome to come stay!) But after hearing her rave about Ree and now you, I just MAY have to go and get me a cookbook!

Had never heard of her, but because of your great post here, now I'm a believer. I'll be looking for the cookbook! Thanks!

Perhaps it is only fair to share, with you, that I still have almost all of my eyebrow. It scared me more than it removed my brow, but I will never try to brush away suds with a razor in hand again!

I'm so jealous! :-)
I can't imagine the grueling schedule they have with this book tour -- and how her hand/wrist/arm must hurt after signing all those books!
Are you going to frame the photo and signature of MM? lol

Luck-eee!! Yep--completely jealous here! I love the photography stuff on her blog. I stink at cooking, so haven't really checked out her cookbook.

I love that you went with a friend. Such a long line... looks like a Black Friday? ;) Glad it was worth the wait. Fun!

That is VERY cool! I don't spend much time on her blog, other than on the photography tab, which I check nearly everyday.

I'm glad to hear you report that she is great in person, too. That is not always the case with these celebs.

Shut UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man!! I adore the Pioneer Woman!! I found out about the signing several days after it had happened, which gave me an awfully helpless feeling. Of course, there's no way I could have found the time to slip away for 3+ hours of waiting. (Or the endurance, for that matter.) I'm so glad YOU got to meet her, though...even if it was in the Wal Marts.
