Thankful Thursday

Since summer is officially over for me with the start of band camp, I decided I would try to give myself a positive lift and find the reasons I am thankful for summer to be over..........

.........you don't think I can do it, do you?

I'm not sure either, but let's give it a try!!

I am thankful summer is over because.....

* I am back on a schedule again!
* I am forced to get up early and therefore will be back in a consistent routine with my quiet times.
* There won't be dishes on my counter top ALL DAY LONG!
* I won't have to run the dishwasher EVERY day
* I won't FILL the dishwasher the minute it is emptied with a multitude of glasses
* I won't be doing a load of beach towels every other day.
* I can start my cleaning earlier in the day b/c I won't have kids sleeping
* I will be getting a good nights sleep since I won't have to worry about my kids being out so late
* I can "Shred" in the morning again b/c no one will be here to laugh at me.....am I thankful about that?.........I will be......someday!
* I will get the swimming pool to my self in the afternoons!
* Steve and I will have our "Friday dates" back!
* I get to go back to work......ok, maybe I'm not as thankful about that but I am thankful that I have a job to go back to that I enjoy and great employers that give me the summer off!!!

Now I feel better! Bring on the school year!

I am leaving this evening for a Children's Ministries planning retreat. So, I won't be blogging again until Project 365 on Sunday.

Have a great weekend and if it's not the end of summer where you are.......ENJOY it!!!!

I'm glad if you're glad, but I'm not glad to see life zipping by. I want to slow it down!

i'd say you did a good job coming up with your list. ;) personally, i don't like to 'shred' when everyone is home too.

Good job at finding some good things that end-of-summer brings! :-)

I'm getting more and more excited about our summer vacation in January because my daughter will be here!!! She's coming for a nice long visit right after she graduates from college in December. Woot!

No, I didn't think you could do it...not bad :) Not that I know any different, but I think one of the best things about having little ones is NO school schedule!

Enjoy your time away...I pray your team has a fresh annointing as they plan for this next year.

I appreciate your positive attitude, Sara!

What is shredding? I keep hearing people talking about doing it and I don't know WHAT they are talking about!

Great list Sara! No dishes on the counter, not immediately refilling dishwasher when it's empty, Friday date night, it's the little things that keep a girl happy. :)

It's not end of summer yet but very close. Not sure how it's going to affect me yet.

YAY, you did it! You found some wonderful things that you are thankful for. So sorry your summer is over! :( What kind of job do you do, if you don't mind me asking?

Enjoy not having to run the dishwasher everyday and also enjoy your Friday dates with your hubby. :)

Debra, I work at a local, family owned pharmacy. They have a coffee shop in it that serves breakfast and lunch and I work in the coffeeshop! I only work 2 days a week, but enjoy it!
