Project 365 - Week 30

Can you believe that we are almost to the end of July?!!! Where did the summer go? I was finally able to get caught up on all my blogging this week!!! I really miss you guys when I get too far behind to blog!!

This was a fun week for me! And I can't wait to share it with you!

....so, here we go:
Sunday

My Children's Church kids leading worship today!!
what an awesome Sunday!

Monday

I looked out my window today and saw this odd bird on the wire behind my house!!
Does anyone know what this is?
There were two of them and I have never seen anything like it!!
It's neck is actually long, but tucked in.
sometimes it would stretch it's neck out but I couldn't get a picture of it.
I am so curious!!!!

We still have not figured it out. But think it is some sort of water bird.

Tuesday

We are celebrating 25 years today!!!
I love this man!
Head over to my other blog to find out why....

Wednesday

The beautiful flowers that I received from my honey!!!
Two of my favs....roses and Cali lilies!

Jared finally went to take the test for his permit...
...he's been eligible since January...
...and he passed!!!!

Steve and I tried a new restaurant for our anniversary!!
It was AMAZING!!
We had such a great time!

Thursday

This is my neighbor's crape myrtle.
Isn't it gorgeous?!

Friday

My children threw us a surprise 25th anniversary party tonight!
I love those kids!

Saturday

I had a lot of down time today...yea!
I was able to get caught up on my blogging..
..and spend time reading my current book.
Perfect!

Please link in and share your week with us!!!

“Bird on a Wire” = movie from the 80’s with Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson. Yes?
hehehehe
...I like that little girl with her shoes off :-)
...and what a WONDERFUL family you have to throw such a nice surprise celebration for you and Steve. Happy Anniversary! You both look great and so very happy!

I love your photos this week! I am going to examine that bird a little closer, not that I will figure it out, but I like the challenge!
Hooray for Jared! My daughter just got her permit two weeks ago!
I always love the romance of an anniversary...and I think it is wonderful that you got flowers, AND dinner, AND a party!!!
I read Snow Flower and The Secret Fan....loved it!

No, I cannot believe July is almost over. All these things that were on the calendar that seemed forever from now, and I'm passed many of them already! Crazy!

Looks like it was a phenomenal week for you!

Getting caught up here, Sara--love the pics. I cracked up at the "52" you guys held up on your hands. You do have a wonderful family. I already wished you a happy anniv, but it doesn't hurt to get tons of wishes!

Congratulations on your 25 years, and you haven't changed one bit! (I would have been married 25 as well, but my first husband passed away in 1997. I'm so glad for others who get to this mark!)

I've wondered about the book by Lisa See because I enjoyed Snowflower and The Secret Fan so much. Although, that was not the best book to read when I was recovering from foot surgery. The feet bindings sounded even more painful than my suffering!

Would love to know the name of that bird as well. have seen something like it before but not sure of the name.
Love the little girl with her shoes off, so sweet!

maybe the bird is a "least bittern"...it's the closest i could find on the web

skoots1mom...that might be it....atleast it looks very close!!! Only the back didn't seem to have the black that the least bittern has...idk. Very strange to see in the city though!!!
