Project 365 - Week 23

Oh my word.....are we really at week 23?!! We are so close to 1/2 way through this year.

I have had a wonderful week and have thoroughly enjoyed my "alone time"!! I am relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to perform my momly duties!!! My kids will be traveling home tomorrow, please pray for safe travel for them!! thanks so much!

Here's my week:

Sunday
Today we worked on the sets for our new Joseph curriculum
for children's church

This will be our "pit", isn't it awesome?!
we have chairs under there and chicken wire. then topped it
with crumpled paper!

Palm trees
the top is an umbrella!

this will be a backdrop behind the stage.
like you are looking out into Egypt

and this is our prison!
the white part was then painted to look like stones.

we have some very talented people in our church and it looks..
AMAZING!!!

Monday

Saturday I posted about wanting to "get off the parent train"
One of my sweet friends came by with these flowers and a card that read:

Thought the parent train might need some pretty scenery to look at!!

God has blessed me with some wonderful friends!

Tuesday

These are from my front yard!!
Aren't they gorgeous?!

Wednesday

Today my friend picked me up in her convertible!!
Then we went and enjoyed a 3 hour lunch!
What fun I am having while my kids are away!

Thursday

This is amazing!!!

It has been 2 FULL days since my kids have been gone...
....this is all that is in my dishwasher!!

Friday

Steve and I are still "kidless". So after our breakfast date this morning, we went and walked the Big Dam Bridge. It was a perfect day to be outside!! After that, we went down to the River Market, then hung out by the pool, dinner with friends and finally we played cards with friends till late!! It was a wonderfully fun day!!

Saturday

After hitting a bunch of garage/estate sales this morning, this was my view for the afternoon......ahhhhhh!!!

This was a great week!! Now link in and show us what you have been up to!

You definitely have talent in your church. The props you made are great!

That was so sweet of your friend to bring you flowers. How awesome!

A poolside view is a view I could totally enjoy. Looks very relaxing.

Great pictures!!

Wow Sara! What a great week. The sets are awesome and the flowers are beautiful!!

I hope my week without kids (starting Father's Day) will be as much fun! Only difference is my hubby will be gone too.

Cala lillies (?) "calas" in Sp., are a favorite of mine, remind me of growing up in Argentina.
And the story of Joseph is an all-time favorite. Have fun with it!

I hope you can use some of that scenery for VBS!

Fun pics. Excuse my ignorance, but what river is that?

And you must have a huge backyard!

Wish I were sitting out there with you - as long as I was in the shade, 'cause the sun would give me a migraine!

Sounds like a wonderful week! Your dishwasher pic cracked me up...I bet the laundry pile was a lot smaller too. And I'm a bit jealous of your pool...I want one!

Sounds like such a good week. When I hear people say,"I don't remember what life was like before kids" I just cannot understand that. We were married for 11 years before we decided to have children and I remember EXACTLY what it was like. Though I wouldn't change it for a second, it is sweet to have kidless time.

Did you find anything worthwhile at the sales? Hope you had a good book at the pool.

What a wonderful week you've had!!!
Love that pic of you and your friend in your matching sunglasses, you can just tell how much fun you were having.
Glad you enjoyed your time, you so deserve it Sara.
Prayers being said for the kiddos' safe return!

I liked your daily log of pictures so much that I am challenging myself and I am copying the idea, I'm going to try and keep a log with pictures of our activities this week and then post it Saturday.

By the way, I liked your afternoon view and only wished I had the same view.

I'm so glad you had a great week! :-) Y'all sure went all out with the Egypt scenery. Wow! It's nice when there are plenty of talented people willing to pitch in and help.

Lovely flowers (both pictures) and great shots of you with your friend and you with hubby.

Half empty dishwasher cracks me up! Amazing what a difference when there's just two of you :-)

Hope next week is a GREAT one with the family all back together!

I had a view pretty similar to your last one most of the weekend! And what a sweet blessing to have good friends!
