New way to carry your cell phone

I'm back!!! And I have to tell you, though I know you already know it, God is so good!!! (go ahead and say it.....ALL THE TIME!)

He provided me exactly what I needed this weekend, through good friends but most importantly through his word! He took me, over and over, to scriptures that met me right where I am. I was reminded, once again, that his plan can not be thwarted!! Thanks for your prayers! I spoke of ya'll a lot this weekend and shared with my friends (non of them bloggers) what a great community of friends I have found!!

So are you wondering what all that has to do with your cell phone?! It doesn't, but I have a story to tell you......

On Saturday, we drove to the state basketball championship game that my friends son was playing in. Her mother had also driven down to see it. She was sitting behind me in the bleachers and we had fun catching up and chatting! My friend thought she kept hearing her phone ring and after checking it for the 3rd time, her mother leaned over and (quite loudly) said...

"you will never miss a phone call if you keep your phone on your boob!"

I must have looked at her with a "did you just say that?" look, because she said "It's true, if you turn it on vibrate and keep in on your boob, you will always know when it is ringing"

Of course, I could not let this go and with my friend protesting with her eyes, said "so when it rings, how do you get it out?"

and right there in front of a bleacher full of people, she reached down in her shirt, from the neck and pulled out the phone!!!! Yes ma'am, she did!! She went on to tell me that all the women in her Sunday School class carry their phones like this!!

No missing calls for this group!

She then reached in her purse and pulled out a black zip bag and said "this is really my purse and I usually keep it on the other side!"

I had nothing to say to that! The mental images where just too much...........

i have a confession. i do this! when i'm cleaning etc. i stick my phone down between the cleavage, it won't fall out i tell you! ha. but i don't like doing it in public. i also stick it under the bra strap. works well too. i'm a practical girl and whatever works the easiest i usually figure it out. lol. it also keeps people from wanting to borrow your phone! hehe. on a sidenote, i may be driving to Nashville in April, i would love to come through your city and take a picture with you! wouldn't that be a great blog photo? i'm having lunch with Patrice(blessings amid chaos) when i get to Tennesse...i'm excited to meet her in person. if i could catch two of you that would be even better! God is Good, and i'm thankful for the certain bloggers he has connected me with. :D

That is hysterical. But I have to say I have 2 friends that do that. Everytime I see them get a call I have to laugh.

Maybe we should try it. I don't think I could stand it though!

I suppose if we have to wear these bras we may as well put them to good use.

Your cell phone story is so funny! My grandmother used to keep kleenex in her sleeve....I suppose if they had cell phones back then, she probabley would have tucked it in her bra....cuz I'm sure it would have fallen out of her sleeve! lol

I've seen some of the younger girls do this but believe me the last place they would want to be is Sunday school, just alone the way they were dressed made me blush!....and they didn't carry it on one side or the other it was right between and right there for everyone to see. ugh!
