It has been cold and rainy here in Dallas the last couple of days. During the night, as I laid awake for most of it, a huge thunder storm blew through. I prayed so hard that it wouldn't rain during the funeral.
We woke up to a very cloudy and muggy day.....better than rain I thought! But by the time the funeral started it was a gorgeous, sunny day!!!
The service was perfect. I am sure my Aunt was smiling!
Thanks again for all your prayers and support! We are heading home tomorrow and I am going to take a blogging break for the rest of the week. I am fairly sure that the "let down" is going to be more than I expect.
Talk to you soon.

I'm so glad the service was perfect and the weather beautiful! Take care of yourself this week...take time to rest.
So glad to hear it wasn't raining, and even better that the sun came out! Almost like she was shining down on all of you in a way.
Home will look good to you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's always hard to lose someone you hold dear, even if you know you'll see them again.
Peace to you and yours,
Heather
I am glad you had a beautiful day. I think it helps to remind us that all Her days are beautiful now.
Praise the Lord for good weather!
So glad that the weather cleared up. Get some rest!!
Enjoy your rest - ponder happy memories about your aunt. Enjoy being back home too!!
God is so good to give you a beautiful day. Praying continued peace for you all.
I have something for you over at my blog. Come over and check it out.
i just wanted you to know i was thinking about you today sara. i remember after my mom's funeral, once everyone left and we were suppose to get back to life as normal...and still felt completely exhausted physically and emotionally....it was a strange time. so i'm praying for you today sister. big hugs!
Sara, your testimony was truly perfect. I loved reading it. I want to print it and let everyone I know read it. It was that powerful.
When my Dad died, it rained at his funeral. I was outside standing by his grave and looked up at the heavens and thought, "God must be as sad as me that Dad had to leave us."
I think God sent the sun to warm you and reassure you that all was well in his eyes. He loves you so much. What a light you are for him to everyone you meet. Your life is one to write a book about, as a witness of Christ. Sure love you.
Sara, it's so hard to lose the ones we love even if we know it's only temporary. Blessings on you, as you miss your Aunt.
I'm glad to hear you're home. I know that while your heart aches, your brain knows what joy your Aunt is feeling as she is walking with the King.
Love you back!
O.
PS THANK YOU FOR THE PRAYERS!!
