Yea for ICE!

Well, our little part of the south got hit with a big ice storm over the night and it is supposed to get worse as the day goes on.  That means that schools are closed and we are stuck in the house.

Woot Woot!!

You might be thinking "Are you Crazy?!"  But let me give you some reasons why I am excited...

*  my kids are old enough to entertain themselves and will spend most of the day playing the Wii or playing guitars!

*  my schedule has been CRAZY busy and I just got a reprieve from it!!

*  I have a whole day to get caught up on my favorite blogs....I hate it when I miss out!

*  I get to use my fireplace!!!!!!  this will probably be my picture for the day seeing as it happens very rarely around here......I love me a warm fire!

*  I will have a whole day to get my house in order......no, I don't enjoy cleaning and laundry and I am not a neat freak, but when you are as far behind as I am, you just need some order

*  basically, I just get a forced breather.....any one with me on that?

So, today I will be staying in my PJs and enjoying being in my house!!

*****************
As I was reading blogs this morning, I found that my friend Chel gave me an award!!!!  Thanks Chel!!!  That just completely tops the morning off as a great day!!!

I would like to pass this award on to some new bloggy friends:

Go visit these ladies.....you will be blessed by their blogs!!

Happy Tuesday ya'll!!!!

Close your eyes and imagine that your children have all gone off. (*sigh*) Hear the quiet? Now, think of that good book to read and your Blogger friends and you know what my retirement is like! Nice. :-)

We've been smacked with super cold temps again. My mojo is in the tank! and I wish my kiddos could entertain themselves for more the 20 mintues without a screaming match breaking out.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL day.
Lucky duck fireplace!

The only "off" days we get here are hurricane days, and by the time we get those, we're so exhausted from the preparations that we don't enjoy 'em...especially when most of the time, there's no power.

That said, have fun on your day off! Relax in front of your fire and I'll be thinking about ya as I run around doing my million errands in the 85 degree heatm which you'll be enjoying real soon, too! :)

Lova ya,

Ohilda

Ah, if I could stay home maybe I'd wish for ice too. Unfortunately I still have to work so I hope we just keep the snow and not the ice. The rest of my family are home today (no school) and I just called and they are watching TV (have already shoveled the drive), so I'm a little jealous. But that's ok.
Hope you enjoy your PJ kinda day and congrats on the award.

What a cozy day. I don't think we're going to get any ice - or at least not enough to mess with school. But the temperature sure plummeted about 20 degrees and it's now in the 30's.

And I don't envy Smilingsal - I think her house sounds a bit too quiet and a bit lonely! My kids are going to be gone fast enough as it is!
