My aunt's health deteriorated yesterday to the point that they were going to put her in ICU and did not expect her to make it. I came directly to the hospital last night and honestly was shocked at how frail she looked.
They were giving her a blood transfusion and had given her some steroids. This helped her rally through the night and she is actually doing better today. I am currently in her room and she is talking to my dad. They just don't know where her infection is and why she is not responding to the meds.
Tomorrow she will have a broncoscopy (spelling?) and possibly a bone marrow biopsy. They are afraid the infection may be in her bones. Please pray for her tomorrow. These tests are not fun at all and my aunt is afraid. And pray for results, that they can figure out what is wrong so they can treat it.

Oh, you're just up the road from me a few hours!
So sorry your aunt is having such a hard time. Praying for health and peace for all.
Praying for you and your family. Thank you for the update Sara.
Sara--our hearts are aching in tandem, your aunt and my sister. My prayer for us is to understand and accept God's will for our loved ones. He knows our hearts desires--how much we want them with us, and he sees the whole plan. We have the harder part, understanding his eternal perspective. I love you dearly. I know you will find peace and comfort during this difficult time through your amazing faith. And I know God will not leave your Aunt alone. He is always with her.
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
I just prayed for your dear Aunt. Let us know how she is doing.
Sorry to get the bad news about your aunt.

Just popped over to your blog to see if you'd posted an update before I called and bugged your family. Was glad to see that you had! Have been praying for your aunt and family since we talked.
You know I'm not far if I can do anything. Love you, friend!
I'll be praying! Thanks for the update.
