Sad and struggling

My precious aunt is not doing well.

She is currently in the hospital under going a myriad of tests to try to discover if she had a stroke or if her current paralysis is due to an injection to her neck to relieve the pain from radiation.  They are also xraying for pneumonia and CT scans to see if her cancer has returned.  I am having a hard time not being there and an even harder time knowing what to pray.  She was doing so great and enjoying life again after chemo and then went down so quickly, but I am comforted by this scripture today:

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God.    Romans 8:27-27

Sara, I'm praying for your aunt. It is so hard to see the ones we hold dear suffering.
Always remember that she is in the hands of the Lord, the Great Physician...what a blessed place to be.

So sorry to hear this. What a comfort to know that the Spirit is intereceding for you and she is held in God's hand!

Hugs to you, my friend!

".. . according to the will of God. . . " Such a difficult passage/concept for us to understand in our human lives/flesh. But what an important scripture and idea for you and family today! HE intercedes when we are at a total loss for how to pray or offer support. Just being with her is enough sometimes -- and even more important, letting her know you are praying -- as are your blogging friends! God made her body -- He knows what she needs -- it is ours to intercede.
God be with you today!

i use this verse OVER and over again...."You will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." isaiah 26:3

trust is a struggle for me sometimes, especially with loved ones and this verse is so full of promise for peace. so i hope you are overwhelmed with His peace today!!

I'm praying for you and your aunt. I'm sorry that your aunt isn't doing well.

Thank you for the verse. I realized last night that it was a new month and I need to change my verse on my blog. If you don't mind, I think I'll use yours. It's so fitting. I think people don't know what exactly to pray about at the moment. We are all so thankful for the blessings we've received but times are tough right now.

Your poor aunt; she must be frightened, even if she knows the One who holds her in His hand.

I can truly say that our hearts must ache the same way today for love ones near us that are suffering. We pray for strength, comfort and peace knowing God is at the forefront and in complete control. Sure love you. Your comments have meant so much to me. XO

Sara,
I'm praying for all of you, dear one. Lean into His arms - the Great Physician and Comforter.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 (New Living Translation)
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, 17 comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
