Thawing out....

Well, a lot has happened in the last two weeks and I have been very busy.  Before we left IN to move to Little Rock, we made plans with our close friends to go on a cruise in March.  We were supposed to be on that cruise last week.  But, a month before one of wives of the group found out she had breast cancer and we had to cancel the cruise.  Steve and I decided that since we already had our kids taken care of, that we would go up to IN for our friend's double mastectomy and be there to help her with her recovery.  All of us would still be together and be able to rally around our friend.  Yes, we traded 80 degrees and sunshine for 20 degrees and frozen lakes!  But she is worth it!  We did try to convince one of our friends to serve us all those little drinks with the umbrellas....he didn't go for it!  Anyway, stayed the week there and she is doing great now.  My apologies to all my other friends there for not calling or coming by, but she was my focus.  I know you understand.

We came home to a very busy week.  Most of you know I work part time 2 days a week.  Well, I had to fill in for one of the gals on vacation and had to work every day this week.  Steve left Wed. for the SEC basketball tournament with friends and the boys have been going in a gajillion directions......I am tired.  But there is a light at the end of the tunnel!  Alyssa comes home Saturday for Spring break!!!!  yea!!!!  I can't wait to see her.  The light gets even brighter because we will be leaving for Tucson on Tuesday to visit my parents for our spring break and you know my mom will pamper me!!!!  I am sooooo ready!!! :)

Jared has been busy with rehearsals for fiddler on the Roof.  He is in the orchestra.  I hope to have some pictures or video this weekend after the performance.  He was the only middle schooler asked to be in it!!!

My boys both had dentists apt.s this week early on...just another thing on the schedule.  Anyway, none of my kids have ever had a cavity.  I have only had 2 in my life and my 50 year old brother has never had a cavity.  So what are the odds that we move to Little Rock and BOTH of my boys get a cavity!!!!  At the same time!  I have asked if there is fluoride in the water and they say yes.  I can't figure it out.

Well, it is late and I need to get to bed.  I can't think of anything else to blog about and catch you up on.  I think I have rambled enough......

......good night!
