A very exciting....but exhausting...weekend!!!

I am so tired and I am only 1/2 way through my weekend!!! But it has been tons of fun and very exciting!
First, I spent all day friday getting ready for the IFO banquet at our church. IFO ministers to international students in the area. They match the students with americans and organized meetings where they can come practice their english. In all that, relationships are built and Christ has the opportunity to be spoken about. Each year they put on a Xmas party for the students. We were expecting 150 students..........300 showed up!!!! It was amazing and so cool to see God stretch our food....we had just enough!! The students were so sweet and thankful. We provided each family/student with a gift and they were so touched. What a fun evening!
Our foyer. The tree is loaded with gifts for the students

our sanctuary. many heard the gospel for the first time. We had mostly asian students but also a good number from Iraq and the middle east

mingling with the students before dinner

we actually ran out of tables, but no one seemed to mind. It was really a wonderful evening. I am going to be putting on a tea later in December for the women. I am looking forward to that.

Next, today our football team played in the state championship game. We came into it undefeated in a division that we were very small for. There was so much excitement in the stadium and our guys played their hearts out! Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and we lost the game. However, what a great thing to get so far when everyone thought you were out of your league at the start of the season. The boys should be very proud...we are very proud of them.

all the seniors locked arms and walked out with the captains for the coin toss.....very cool!
school spirit was amazing!!

our wonderful marching band playing for the start of the game. Jason is 3rd from the right in the front row

half time!!
Now it is time for a major power nap before we leave to go play life size clue at a family youth night........I think I might be too old for this!
