Houston, we have a graduate!

Well, we made it through the weekend and I must say that I could not think of one thing that would have made it better. Everything went so well and Alyssa was the happiest I have seen her in 6 months! Her graduation party was perfect....great weather, 200+ people, perfect amount of food and lots of fun!! The hardest part of the party was not being able to sit and have long conversations with anyone. I wanted to reconnect with everyone, but it seemed like I just went from person to person to say hi and then it was over....but it was for Alyssa and she had a blast!!! Graduation was beautiful and after all the horror stories I had heard....it was wonderful, only 2 1/2 hours long...I had heard 4...and so hard to believe this day had really come. How can it be that this little girl we prayed for for 2 years is now a beautiful young woman and on her way to college........it is hard to wrap my mind around. So, enjoy some of the pictures of the graduation...thanks to all for the prayers and support and a HUGE thanks to my friends the Jaques who open not only opened their house for us but for the party and then for my family....I am very blessed!!!

Sorry, forgot to rotate this first, but here is my GRADUATE!!!
Walking in for the beginning of graduation..this is where the tears started!
Alyssa's class of 2007. We were reminded why we miss this school district so much....NINE valedictorians, 17 naitonal merit finalists, over 25% graduated with the honors diploma, 3/4 of the class earned scholarships for college which means that many are GOING to college, 20+ kids earned 4.0s. Wow! we were impressed!!!

crossing the stage!!!
final handshake and now a graduate!!!!
The proud parents!!!
