Project 365 - Week 10

Week 10

Wow.  This is the first time in TWO years that I have missed posting my pictures on Sunday.  I was just too tired yesterday to get it done.  But I was so glad to see that everyone else linked up.  Hopefully, I will be able to visit ya'll some time today!

Sunday
Two of my friends have left, so it is down to 3.  We decided to bake today...well April did!!!

She made one loaf of white bread and one of cinnamon swirl
It was SO good!!!

Our friend Kathleen always makes us fried tacos...a favorite of mine and her childhood from Arizona.  I have never made them but we couldn't go without....so I gave it a try.  Not bad if I do say so myself!!!

Monday
What a great surprise I got today!
I flew home and was so sad leaving my friends...
...but anxious to get home to my sick boy.
Waiting for me were two surprises...

a gorgeous, gorgeous prayer shawl I one from Skootsmom!!
I LOVE it!

and this awesome bracelet from my friend Tori!!
I love how when I went to take a picture of it, my other bracelet was laying with the word "always" on top.....always grace!

Tuesday
Spring has sprung!!!
Woo Hoo!!!

Wednesday
Made this version of Italian Wedding Soup tonight.
It was so yummy!!!

Thursday
Today was my last day at work at the pharmacy.
Starting next week, I will be working up at the church.
My coworkers surprised me with a farewell lunch......love them!!

Friday
We left today on a band trip to Memphis.
I took a friend's flat stanley with me! Boy, did that Flat Stanley have fun!  Here he is on Beale Street.

We ate dinner at the famous Huey's.
The kids had fun adding our name to the graffiti wall and shooting tooth picks into the ceiling.  Oh and they also enjoyed the amazing burgers!!!
Saturday
The main point of the trip was that we were recording a CD at Ardent Studios.

This was SO COOL.
These kids recorded in the same room as BB King, ZZ Top, and many more famous artists.

This is our great group of kids!
If you are wondering why many are smiling, they didn't know I was taking the picture!!!

What a fun week! Was it hard to make fried tacos? My hubs loves them and he wouldn't know what to do with himself if I actually made them. ha!

I've never heard of wedding soup, but it looks interesting. If I knew the ingredients I'd probably be more tempted.

I like the inclusion of Flat Stanley in the pictures, how fun!

Looks like the trip was great and you survived! Yay!

In answer to your question, whenever it's sun-shiney, my sunglasses spend a lot of time on my head, so I just kind of forget that they are there when I am home.

What a fun week! That bread looks wonderful. Thats how we made tacos when I was a kid too, but my mom used flour tortillas. Too much work for me to do now but they are good.

Ah Sara, you mad FLAT STANLEY one happy character, and consequently, my niece, one soon-to-be proud little student!

I thought I'd tell you that I had a dream last night that somehow a sports/field trip led us to within minutes of Little Rock, and in the dream it was such a priority for me to visit you if I was so close by! I don't think I ever made it though, which caused me lots of frustration in the dream.... =)
