I'm joining Mrs. 4444
for Friday Fragments. You can join in
here.
** Our beautiful "Spring" weather has turned COLD again....ugh. It snowed just a few miles north of us last night and it's been raining here. Really not happy about this.
** Right at this moment, my daughter is taking her Praxis....one of the tests she has to pass to be certified for Speech/Language Pathology. Been praying for her all morning!!
** After a long wait, our home study is scheduled for tomorrow morning!!! There will be a follow up visit next week and then we will be declared open to receive children. I can not wait. God has given me such a passion in my heart for these kids.
** My daughter has her first real interview for a job next week! It is in another state and she has asked me to go with her. It is so fun to watch her embark on her own and see the success of her many years of school. Plus my mama's heart was just so happy she asked me to go!!!! :)
** I love, LOVED having my kids home for spring break. Jason left yesterday and the quietness that followed was depressing. The first weekend they were home, we had another family over for dinner and it became a jam session. It was loud and fun and I was in heaven!!! I truly miss all the music in my house.
** I am glad I have Jared here till Sunday!!! And it is nice to be able to have one on one time with each of them!!! Part of what has made empty nest easier for me is having Alyssa close by. We see her several times a week, but once she moves (at it looks like she will be finding a job out of state) I think I am going to have a hard time....
** Oh it wasn't all fun and games while the kids were home.....I put the boys to good use and had them paint a room that really needed it!!! :) But most nights ended in some sort of game. The last night Jason was here, we stayed up till midnight playing hand and foot...for those of you that know me....that was quite a feat!! ha!
** As I type this, I am waiting to hear from my daughter as to whether she passed her test or not.....then we are going out to breakfast to celebrate!!!
** she passed!!!

Ahh, the Praxis! I remember it well. :) Prayers that she passes! I'm sure she will.
congrats, Alyssa! so happy for your success
back in my day we tok the nte instead of the praxis
when they wanted me to take the praxis to recertify I thought that was a good sign my teaching days were about over
a big "you go girl" to your daughter
Sounds like a wonderful week. Congrats to your daughter!!
Congratulations! What a great way to go into the weekend!
Glad your kids were all home! We're heading to pick our four up tomorrow--they spent spring break at Grandma's house! Rumor has it, they don't want to leave. Boo!
YIPEEE - passing is always a day-brightner :)
Prayers for a good home study tomorrow - I'm sure it'll go well.
glad you've enjoyed your kiddos on Spring break. Nothing like a house full of laughter playing games to end a day!
I never played that game hand and foot but a friend of mine told me it's a lot of fun.
Yay for your daughter! Two of our children live away, but I haven't ever had a problem with empty nest syndrome! Maybe I should be ashamed to say that, but it's just true. My first child was born when I was 18 so I've had children all my life and now it's just me and the Superhero and we're enjoying the aloneness.....NOT that we're alone all that often! :)
Good family time last week!
Monday you were recovering.
'unproductive' is how I would describe my Monday as well, even tho' several little things were checked off.
What a productive time you had with baby--hugging and praying!
See you next week?!
