Update

I sit here trying to write an update on my FIL but the words just aren't coming.

Steve's mom and I are both physically and emotionally spent.

Joe has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a form of Leukemia.  They keep telling us that he is not waking up because of the high levels of calcium he has.  But as the calcium levels come down to a more normal level...he is not waking up.  In fact, today he seemed much less responsive than yesterday and they don't know why.

It's been a very discouraging day.

We are glad to have a diagnosis but they can't do anything about it unless he wakes up.  He seems to be slipping away and yet his vitals are all still pretty strong.

It feels like we are in limbo.

It feels like there are no clear answers.

Make Me your focal point as you move through this day.  Just as a spinning ballerina must keep returning her eyes to a given point to maintain her balance, so you must keep returning your focus to Me. circumstance are in flux, and the world seems to be whirling around you.  The only way to keep your balance is to fix your eyes on Me, the One who never changes.  If you gaze too long at your circumstance, you will become dizzy and confused.  Look to me, refreshing yourself in My Presence, and your steps will be steady and sure.
Jesus Calling.

So thankful that I know the One who has all the answers and who is always with me.

prayers are coming to you from Rock Mills, AL. I remember the days when no words came...yet even then I knew that God understood what my heart was saying....even when my brain could not form the words.
