Project 365 - Week 19

 week 19.

wow, I made it through the 2 busiest weeks of my life!!!  And they were amazing!!!  and I wasn't a blubbering fool by the end!! And my baby is now done with High school.........sigh.   It was definitely bitter sweet, but every event was wonderful!

Here's my week:
Sunday
Does this happen at your house?
When you empty the dishwasher, you have enough dishes waiting to go in to almost fill it again?!!

This little guy found his way into our garage today!

Monday
After suffering through the record breaking heat last summer with a house that has all west facing windows, we decided this year to have them tinted.  Oh my word, we should have done this a long time ago!!

Tuesday
Started the day with "Senior Walk".  A wonderful tradition at our school where all the kids from k-11th grade line up from the gym all the way to the HS and create a tunnel that the seniors walk through one last time on campus.  very special.

tonight was our awards night.  Jared won 5 awards but the most exciting was that he won the Fine Arts Scholarship!  And being the FA president, I had the privilege of presenting him with it!!

Wednesday
Tonight was our Senior Banquet at our church.  We had 4 seniors and we each set up a table honoring our graduate.  After the dinner, people had the opportunity to speak into each graduate.  It is such a special evening!!

Thursday
My brother, my mom and me!
We don't often get the chance to be with our mom together near mother's day. So before mom left today, Larry and I took her out to breakfast, just the 3 of us.

Friday
Today I drove my brother down to OBU to help my niece pack up her room.  She has to be out of it tomorrow.....and hadn't even started packing....oh, the memories that brings back!

Saturday
The tinting we put on our windows is reflective on the outside.  It is really throwing this bird off.  however, after flying into the window multiple times, you would think it would figure it out....nope.

I think I might start crying with all your precious momnnet this week myself!!

The dishwasher thing happens at my house all all all the time!

That picture of the dorm room is to funny. It sort of looks like he is bowing his head in prayer and laying hands on the dresser praying for a miracle!

I hope you have a blessed Mother's Day!

Blessings

LOL about the dishwasher. That happens with the top rack, especially, at our house!

Bittersweet week for you with Jared.

Loved all the pics, but especially the one of that OBU dorm room!! :-)

Oh my goodness, I still have vivid memories of my own very-busy last week of high school. What a kid you have in Jared...oh, the "bursting-in-pride" moments you must have had this week!

That turtle....how cool! And, the bird - can you imagine how much all of his bird friends were laughing at him from the trees?

Sounds like a very special and wonderful week :) And extra nice that you and your brother were able to celebrate Mother's Day a little early with your mom!

Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day too!

Congrats to Jared! And to you for not breaking down :)

Love the turtle shot - and that's a great picture of the not-too-bright bird.

i love turtles!! we rescue them from certain death on a fairly regular basis as they cross a road near our church that runs next to a pond.

Seems like you did so many meaning ceremonies...love that!

You are a rock star for getting through those couple weeks!

Enjoy your pool and your new taken-down-a-notch pace.

Congratualtions, Jared!!

First of all, it's so hard to believe school is coming to an end for everyone (but us). :) But also...wow. Your baby is actually DONE. That's crazy. Congrats to Jared for all those awards!

About your tinted glass: I'm so glad you're cooler now. I totally wish I had thought to do that with our HUGE west window that burns us up every summer!! (Don't know why it never occurred to me.) But...poor, dumb bird.

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

Dishwasher immediate refill happens a lot here because I like to fill it to capacity every time and can only run it at night or on weekends due to off-peak-electricity rates. (Did any of that make sense?)
And bird fly at our windows a lot even tho' they are not tinted.
A month from now you will be here!

a full week, indeed! ironic how your t-shirt said 'got oxygen' on such a busy week. ;)

that happens to our dishwasher, too! and the cute, little turtle? we found one this week, too... i wasn't sure what to do with the little guy, but did help him when he was found stuck on his back. was i supposed to adopt him?

tinted windows will prove to be a great investment, i'm sure!

so many memories to take in this week. congratulations to your graduate... and hugs to your mama heart!
