Project 365 - Week 10

 Week 10.

Here's my week:

2 of our friends in our Life Group had birthdays this week!
Happy Birthday Denise and Mike!!

So, I am on a new kick....steel cut oatmeal for breakfast.  Especially since I found they have a quick cooking version!!!  yum!

Lily is having minor surgery today....fix a hernia and clean her teeth (sooo needed).....but I thought we were supposed to be at the vet at 7 and it's a 20 minute drive.....however, they don't open till 7:30!  So I sat in my car, read my scripture for the day and tried not to gag from the smelly dog breath!!

Jared's band played for Chapel today at school.  I so love hearing a room filled with HS students praising God....beautiful!

I don't know if you can see the red on my thumb but I burned my thumb tonight on the hot steam as I lifted the lid on our, that hurts!

 jury summons....enough said.

We went to dinner with our good friends Mike and Lori to celebrate Mike's birthday.  This is Lori trying frog legs for the first time......tastes like chicken?!

My friend Beth is turning 60 and she threw herself a party tonight!
I love that!
Her husband's band played and we all had a great time!!

There were a lot of birthday's this week!

Hope your week was wonderful.  I am finding more time to study and also more time to read since I started this fast.  I am definitely surprised at the amount of time I have been investing into the internet.  Link up and be sure to go around and visit everyone while I'm gone!!!!  Miss you guys!

Lily looks so cute sitting up there. Hope all went well with the surgery.

Looks like lots of celebrating!!

Love your week....quick cook steel cut oats...what is the name brand and where did you find them. I end up cooking mine overnight in the crockpot if I want them for breakfast during the week. I love them. Loved the birthday girl shot and I am so sorry about your finger. It looks like it is painful.

Thanks so much for hosting Sara! Looks like you had a good week, minus the jury summons and vet trip of course. Have a great week!

Mmm - I love steel cut oats too! I've tried frog legs & they DO taste like chicken - but they're hardly worth the trouble. Heh.

I remember the first time I ever ate SNAILS!!! Do you remember that Sara? It was the weekend of your college graduation and your Mom MADE ME eat them. I can still picture the look on my face. An No, Mrs. W., I haven't eaten them since that night, so there. Ha Ha.

Ouch! Steam burns are so painful :(
I love frog legs. I remember family get-togethers in KY when the uncles would go gigging and then cook up the fresh frog legs. YUM!
Lots of birthdays means lots of birthday cake :)
Have a great week!
