Project 365 - Week 50 and a giveaway!!

Week 50.

We are just 3 weeks away from the end of the year.  Hard to believe.

Last year, I made a book on Blurb of my Project 365.  I can't tell you how many people comment on it when they visit my house and how they love to look through it!!  I can't wait to make another one.

In light of that, I have an announcement and a giveaway.  First, the announcement is that I will be hosting Project 35 again next year!!  I decided that I just can't imagine not doing it.  So....I expect ya'll to do it with me and to get some of your friends to join in...you'll be doing them a favor by encouraging them to document their lives.

And now for the giveaway.....we have had about 10-11 of you who have stuck it out to the end and I am so proud of you!!!  You will be very happy that you did!!!!  I am going to give one of you lucky ladies a $20 gift certificate to Blurb to get you started on your book!!!  Here are the rules.....you have to have been part of P365 for most of the year (we all miss a few weeks, but you can't just join up now) and you have to post and link to me each one of these last 3 weeks, including this one.  I will pull a name from those that link up.

Here's my week:
 Sunday

This afternoon, I helped host a baby shower for a sweet friend.
Monday

Tonight we hosted our staff/elder Christmas party and white elephant!  We had so much fun.  But I realized in this picture that all the guys sat on one side of the room and the women sat on the other...typical!
Tuesday

Tonight was Jared's Christmas band concert.  It was wonderful!!
The Jazz band played first and Jared had a piano solo.

 Wednesday
I have a friend at church who is a single mom and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  The chemo is really wearing her out, so last night I picked her up and took her to do her Christmas shopping!

 Thursday
I ordered some stocking stuffers for Christmas from a store called Perpetual Kid...this is what was in the top of the box when I opened it today!!

 Friday

I spent the WHOLE day getting ready for my Christmas Tea tomorrow.....thank goodness for Outback carry out!!!
Saturday
These are the cakes that I served at my Christmas Tea today!

So how was your week?  How are your holidays going?  Link up and let us see!!!

I'm with Jill! And the baby shower cake looked great too - I LOVE that kind of cake :)

I'm glad the concert went well & that your talented son was featured!

I'm excited about the giveaway! Can you believe I have not missed a day yet? Although, as you know, it's a joint project between Dr. M and me.

What a wonderful week you've had. The cakes look amazing! What a thoughtful, unselfish thing to do to take that single mom shopping. You will be blessed abundantly for that. Thank you for your prayers for my sister and I. They have meant so much to me.

I think "Make Music from your Heart to the Lord Bakery" is more like it!

Awesome in a word. Those cakes look like they need to be behind glass in a fancy bakery!

Scanning your post before linking, I didn't know if I should go there, too decadent! How do you do ALL that, Sara? And why don't you live closer so we can drop by for cake and such?
Anyway, I'm with you, thinking about the next year I couldn't imagine no Project 365, and I'm so glad I'll be 'seeing' you regularly, even if I can't 'eat' with you.
I think you have persuaded me to make a Blurb book, even if i don't win the giveaway.
My favorite photo was the piano solo, seriously, better than the cakes. I was privileged to accompany the carol singing at the progressive dinner, reviving skills from looooooooooooooong ago. It was fun. Hope Jared enjoys piano playing throughout his lifetime.

Oh I'm so happy to hear that you're doing this again next year! I'm in for sure.

I just sent you an e-mail because you are the winner of my Oneida Culinaria pitcher giveaway!

I'm going to revise the post that I did announcing the winner to include your 365 for next year. Hopefully I can get some of my friends to join in with me.

Hugs & love,

God bless your sweet friend. Being a single parent is hard enough without dealing with health issues on top of it all... praying.

Christmas concert? A fun and proud moment, I'm sure. :)

I'm totally craving cheesecake now. ;)

And yay! I've linked each week. A day or two late most times, but I'm there. ha!
