Project 365 - Week 49

 Week 49.

This has been a very busy week....and my feet are are letting me know it!!  I worked every day at work with 2 big events at church, but it was an awesome week!!!!!

I wanted to remind everyone of my Cookie Recipe Exchange happening on Wednesday!!  Don't forget!  I'm excited to get some new recipes!!

Here's my week:
Sunday

Said goodbye to the 2 on the right today.  :(
Good thing they will be back in 3 weeks!!

It was a quiet day in Children's Church.
After the lesson we let the kids play on the computers!

Monday
We were so SWAMPED at work today that we didn't even have time to wash dishes and this was the only knife available to my coworker to spread mayo!!!  I hope it slows down for the rest of the week!

Tuesday

This snow man is my newest Christmas decoration...isn't he cute?
My mother made the ceramic boot when I was a child.
Wednesday

We had the Hanging of the Boughs at church tonight!
So much fun to visit, play Christmas music and work together to decorate our church!!
Thursday
We were pretty busy again at work and in my haste, I burned my arm on a hot griddle...ugh!

Friday
Tonight was our annual Christmas Party for IFO
(International Friendship Organization)
During the year, IFO reaches out to international students in our area helping them to acclimate to life in the US....providing rides, helping get apartments, and meeting with them to practice their English, be their friend.  The year culminates in a Christmas party and it is in the one place where IFO sets out to share the gospel of Christ.  My church hosts the party and we look forward to it every year!!

This year we fed well over 500 people!!!
It is always amazing to see how God stretches our food!
We even had leftovers that we sent to a local shelter.
We had many countries represented...china, Korea, Iraq, Rwanda, India to name a few.  Many of the students are muslim and have never been inside a church.

It was standing room only for the program!
So amazing to see all these people inside our sanctuary!  And very cool to hear silent night sung in so many languages at the same time!!!!
But the best part was hearing someone sharing Christ in the hallway!!
What a blessing to be part of this!!!
Saturday
Today I attended a bridal shower for a friend from church.
It was so much fun to watch her open her gifts!!
I love weddings!
Hope you guys had as great a week as I had....maybe not quite as busy though!!  :)

That little ceramic stocking - it must have been the thing to make because we had one of those in my house growing up!

I double that ouch!

The girls have a big snowman tree in our loft. We kinda collect them, too. ;) Love the boot... and that your mom made it. Sentimental treasures really are the best.

Wow! What a busy week! Saying good-bye is easier when you know you'll be saying hello again so soon.
I have a burn from our woodburner that matches yours! :(
Hoping it slows down a little for you!

Where do you work? I'm hungry right now so it's important for me to know :)

I'm glad your kids were able to come home for Thanksgiving & that they'll be back at Christmas.

That is some service at your church - pretty cool!

I couldn't scroll past the picture of your burn fast enough! Ouch! I hope it heals up quickly. But what a great picture of your kids! I'm glad they'll be comin' home again so soon! That's so cool about sharing Jesus with so many and from so many countries and backgrounds! Love it! Continue the good work, friend! And have a super week!

Yeah, you got yourself good...yikes! Must be a good feeling to know the kids will be back in 3 weeks. Don't run at too crazy of a pace, Lady.

Love all the countries coming together...like heaven!

What a great week...and knowing that the other 2 will be home again soon is even better! Growing up we had that same red ceramic boot at my house! My mom used to do ceramics while I was growing up...I still have a few things that she made! And love the pics of your international night at church...truly awesome how God works to bring people together.

Ouch on your burn...hope it heals quickly!

Hello! Not sure if you would be interested, but I also do a 365 Project and we share a handful of participants.

I was curious to see if you wanted to join our team for the coming year.

If not, no worries. I just thought I would ask.

Blessings!

Things sure speed up in December, don't they? But the spirit of the season keeps us going :)

Sorry about your burn! Use lots of aloe vera and it will heal much quicker -- we now have a plant (it grows like a weed where we live) and I just slice a piece of leaf and put it directly on the burn several times a day.

Otherwise, looks like you had a FABULOUS week! Especially loved the IFO event photos. Wonderful ministry!

I love weddings too :) So excited for the one coming up in less than two weeks!!!

Whew, what a busy week filled with lots of good stuff. Except for that burn - it doesn't look so good.

Sara, I have missed you! Not your absence, mine. I think last week was the first ever that I did not comment. Such is life: accelerates to break-neck speed, and then full stop! Well, maybe not quite that way. But God is sooooooo goooooood and sooooooo faithful through it all.
Loved reading about your week.
Amazed and thrilled about the IFO ministries. How long has your church been doing this? And I am curious what else, and how you advertise, reach out, minister?
I love the meaningful ornaments from the past.
Have a marvelous week!

Glad it will be a short time between everyone being together again!
That is one crazy mayo spreading knife! :)
Love the pictures of the celebration at the church. What a ministry.
Have a super week my friend! I miss you!!

Burns are the worst!! Ouch!

Sweet Marci. That's such a cute picture of her. It was good to see you there! I'm hoping to check out that website this weekend sometime.

About the coconut oil. Yes, it's way healthier. I need to do a post...Someone else asked the same question.
