CSN is the best........and a giveaway!!!

So, I have told you before how much I love CSN.com.

CSN Stores has over 200 (yes, 200) online stores where you can find everything from stylish handbags, to modern bar stools, or great cookware!!!
Recently, I won a gift certificate for CSN at Rachel's.

I had purposed to be practical and get a new food processor (mine is dying a slow death), but my wild side whispered in my ear......really?  You WON this $$, get something you would never buy for yourself!

....and I listened!

I got this......

Now you may not know it, but this is a Paella pan.  Paella is a dish that originated in Spain.  I love it!  You cook the dish in this pan and then place the whole thing on the table for your guests to serve from!!

Well, I received my pan on Monday, but it had a flaw in it.  My first thought was "ugh!  now I am going to have to take this to the post office (it is not small) to return it to them!  I hate going to the post office!!"

But let me tell you that CSN has AMAZING customer service!!!!
Not only did they ship me a new pan THAT DAY, but they asked me to donate the damaged pan some where where it would get used!!!  How cool is that?!!!

I have been nothing but impressed with CSN!!

And guess what?

They are letting me offer one lucky reader a gift certificate for $65!!!

Here's how you enter......

1.  answer the following question:  What is the best customer service you have ever received?

2.  Visit CSN.com and tell me what you would use your $65 on.

Separate comments please

The winner will be randomly chosen and announced on Monday, Nov. 8th......just because I think you should get exciting news like that on Monday!!!

Wow - what an awesome customer service story. I am totally blanking on what my best CS experience would be. Nothing stands out, but I love how easy it is to return something to Target or Kohl's!

Best customer service: a few weeks ago I went to get my oil changed at the Take 5 Oil Change in Chalmette (I'm posting the place in case you have any other south LA readers). While they were changing my oil my car wouldn't start. So they looked under the hood to figure out what happened (my battery was only 2 weeks old). They found that my connector piece had cracked and they went and found a similar piece in their inventory and were going to replace it and install it - FOR FREE. But when they finally got to the piece, they realized Hyundai makes the piece smaller than the standard one auto places carry, so then they gave me a detailed description of what to get from Auto Zone, told me where the closest Auto Zone was, and gave me instructions (for my husband - not like I was fixing it, LOL!) on how to replace the part. Then they got the battery connected well enough to start the car so I could get home. They did not charge me one cent extra for all of this. I will never go to another oil change place again. I've gone to other Take 5's around New Orleans and I get exceptional service each time, but this trip went above and beyond!

Since my memory is bad, the most recent good customer service I received was with the delivery of a fridge from Home Depot. I didn't have all of the parts for the instillation and the fellow used his own parts without charging me for them. Being new to the area he also gave me a ton of info on the town and good places to eat.

I would try to buy something fun for myself that I wouldn't ordinarily buy...like a new curling iron, or something for my kitchen...BUT I would end up buying Christmas presents for my family.

How fun! We love CSN, too. I should post my giveaway soon. ;)

It's hard to beat their customer service. What a great experience!

OH... and with the holidays rolling around the corner {and my bday *ehem*} I'm thinking Christmas gifts are in order. :)

Most recent best customer service was at Banana Republic in Metairie. They were sooo helpful in finding my size -- and weren't pushy! That's what I love: help when I need it, but no-thank-you-I-would-not-like-a-credit-card. =)

I would rake off a few more Christmas gifts with the gift certificate. =)

I'd probably get some Santoku knives. I need a really good kitchen knife!

I really don't have any special CS stories, but Kohl's has always been easy to deal with.

Best customer service story was at Walt Disney World.. My daughter (9 at the time), lost her fanny pack with her park pass in it. After talking to my daughter, the hotel desk clerk not only replaced her park pass, but she gave her a Disney fanny pack and disney sunglasses to replace what she had lost.

I would get some professional grade cookie sheets to use for holiday baking.

The best customer service in my recent past was last year when I went shopping for some new jeans. It's always such a frustrating search because I'm so short. I went into Maurice's and the sales girl that came to help me was my same size! She told me what fit her and I walked out that day with my new favorite jeans, a second pair of pants (because I just couldn't help it!), and a great big smile.

This would be a tough decision. I think I would finally get the classic wall phone I've been wanting for 5 years. OR an ice cream maker for the family.

Just today I received lovely customer service. It is in the running for the best customer service ever. Although I have to say, most places are pretty good about fixing things as long as I tell them what has gone wrong.

Today, though, I went to Macy's to exchange a gift I had bought for my husband. I just changed sizes. When the transaction was through the clerk said "I have credited $35 to your Discover account." I questioned her and explained it was supposed to be an even exchange. She said today was a special sale event and she did a return and new purchase for me. She did this for me to get me the credit. Thanks!

I would love to get some paintable beadboard wallpaper from CSN.

my mind blanked for a minute, but then I remembered one of the best customer service experiences I have had. it was 3 yrs ago. my best girlfriend and I had taken our first ever, in 30 yrs of friendship, girlfriend getaway. after travelling from east coast to west, exhausted, we boarded the tram for the car rental place.I am battling life threatening disease, and standing or sitting too long is very painful. Needless to say I was at point of crying from pain. My awesome friend was doing all the lifting and arranging, and I was doing the paperwork details. after taking both our luggage from the airport transport, she stood with the luggage and I went in. As we had to wait too long, I then sat with luggage and she then stood in line. all set,m or so we thought, she then threw the bags into the trunk of the rental car, and we opened the doors to the car... only to find a very dirty and smokey car, ...we had asked for nonsmokers car... so then the agent came out and apologized, and said she would take the care to be cleaned.. we were exhausted. but what else could we do? so we sat for another 20 mins while they convinced us they could get all smoke and dirt out with no problem. they brought car back. they loaded our luggage back into trunk. we got in, only to then find that there was loud clinking noise as we backed up and one of the windows wouldnt roll down, among a few other mechanical problems. by this point I was ready to check into a hospital, not a hotel~.. the agent looked at me as we put the car back in front of the office. When I got out to go inside, She then came out, inspected the car, and asked us to wait a few minutes. A few mins later, she returned with a smile. She again apologized for all the problems, and told us a new luxury , top of line, suv had just been returned...(we had rented a reg standard economy car)..and they were replacing the problem car with it, along with a complimentary tank of gas! it was such a blessing, and honestly, a gift from God. Getting in and out of cars is a problem for me but with this car, it was much easier, due to the running board and ergonomic seats! God worked all things together..turning what seamed to be a curse, into a blessing!!

My husband and I booked a room on Monterey, California once via Priceline. I forget if it was the Sheraton, Hyatt or Hilton but it was something like that. When we arrived they were ready to give us a queen room. When we explained that we were there for a romantic getaway, the hotel speedily changed our room to a King bed (though they were near full) and gave us a voucher for a morning's breakfast at their hotel restaurant. They stay was lovely and so was the breakfast brunch!

Hmmmm, probably the best customer service ever received was Kroger's. One time I needed a spice they didn't have and, while I finished my shopping, one of the assistant managers went to another store and picked it up for me!

I could really use a nice set of steak knives and CSN has a fabulous selection!

What a great company and customer service. A had a great customer experience at our health food market. Needed something new to supplement for something else. This clerk treated me like I was the only one in the store. Showes me things - samples for me to try and told me what she used. It was my first time in there and it won't be my last.

O.K. if I was the lukcy winner it would be the Total Chef food dehydrator :)

Paella pan! Wow! Lovely memories of 40 + years ago in Valencia, Spain. I would get this model--Fagor Commercial Aluminum Nonstick 15" Paella Pan - 818020116.

I don't often use customer service, but more than that my memory is not good.
The most recent customer service my husband offered: A woman bought a butter bell at his booth. When she got home one piece fell and broke. She called, Mike said he would make a new one. When we got home he found that he had another in the same color. She came over, and amazingly it fit!!! He gave it to her. Now she has two of the part that keeps the butter, so while one is in the dish washer she can use the other!

We have a local hardware store with amazing customer service. You are never without help in that store (unless you want to be). I always shop there as a result.

I'd use it toward a guidecraft kitchen helper. Thanks for the chance!

Hmmm...it's hard to remember my best customer service experience. I've had several really good moments. (I've also had a whole bunches of really bad ones!!!) But one that comes to mind is a time when I ordered some cloth diapers from CottonBabies.com. They included a note in the shipment explaining that one of the diapers I had ordered was unavailable in my specified color. So they gave me a different color diaper PLUS a complimentary package of 12 cloth wipes. Another time with them there was a problem with something I had ordered, and when I emailed them to let them know, they replaced the item and shipped it the same day! Love them.

The Davidson Den said...

I need several appliances, but CSN doesn't carry the particular brands I'd be interested in. :( But that's okay. $65 would just be a drop in the bucket anyway, and I don't have the rest to cover the difference right now. So...I think I would get several pieces of cast iron cookware. I only have one skillet, which I love and use all the time, but it would be nice to have some varying sizes and shapes. What a great giveaway!!

Can I change my item? This morning my wonderful organizer wallet from Sharper Image finally gave up it's life after only 11 years! I am DESPERATE now for a new billfold/ wallet/ organizer to use for the next 11 years!
