Project 365 - Week 32

Week 32.

This week was HOT. Oh my word, I honestly felt like I was going to melt a few days!! The humidity along with the heat was almost unbearable....even inside! I don't even want to see what our electric bill will be!! ugh!

Here's my week:
Sunday

Decided to fry up some chicken fingers to go on top a big salad...yum!

Monday

Darla introduced me to YellowBox flip flops when we found them on sale while she was here..
....oh.my.word these are sooooo comfortable!!!
If you love to wear flip flops, then you must get a pair of these!!!

Tuesday

This was the temperature in my car today.....ugh!
I am so over the hot weather!!!

Wednesday

Today was HOT....
...and very busy for me. I left the house at 7:15 this morning and didn't get home till after 4:00. As soon as I got home, I felt like I was going to be sick, laid down and fell instantly asleep for and hour. I think I was overheated.
So, no picture.

Thursday

Today started our children's ministries retreat to write our curriculum for the fall. I love these ladies!!! We work so well together and really got a lot done today.

Friday

This is what I made the ladies for lunch today...
...asparagus and mushroom quiche!!
We finished our curriculum!!!
This is the fastest it has ever come together and we are so excited to kick it off in September!!!

Saturday

Jason took me and his dad to a movie this afternoon!
what a treat!
** edit** We saw Inception and it was GREAT!
So how was your week?

I don't know why you don't just post the recipe WITH the picture LOL. Gotta have it - that quiche looks fabulous!

I really love those flip flops and quiche. Send me the recipe please.
What movie did you see? Blessings to you this week :)

I'll have to look into the comfy flip flops, can't ever have too many. And that quiche looks delicious! I'm so ready for the fall and cooler weather :) Have a great week!

The chicken fingers look so yummy, and so does the quiche!

Congrats on getting the curriculum done. I can only imagine what a big job that is.

I too want to know what movie you saw. :)

Ugh, I can't even imagine that kind of heat right now! I'm sitting on my couch with my robe on and a fleece blanket :) It does warm up considerably during the day (in the 60s this week) but it's COLD as soon as the sun goes down and our block house just retains all the cold.

What will you focus on in SS this year? I'm sure whatever the topic, y'all have planned some super fun activities for the kids :)

Have a great week and hope it's COOLER!!!

The chicken fingers & the quiche look so yummy. I love me some mushrooms. It was pretty hot here this week as well. I am over the heat for sure.
How fun to go to the movies with your son. What did you see?

That's funny. I said on my blog how much I enjoy the heat. I think if you spent as much time being cold as we do in the Northeast, you might have a different opinion. That's whats nice about here...there are four distinctly different seasons...something for everyone.

How sweet of Jason to take you out. Was the movie good?

I've never heard of those flip flops but I'll look for them now.

108?!?! I am pretty sure, I would be a miserable mess in that - and you baked some yummy looking food! Hope your week is cooler!

I thought of you down in LR when it was so hot here :(
Reminds me of 120 in Mexico one time! However, probably dryer.
Amazing quiche.
Have heard great things about the movie, but that you really have to pay close attention.
Congrats on the curriculum! Again I say--publish!!!

Ugh! That heat is coming our way. Supposed to reach 100 by Wed and for D.C. that's a record! My electric bill is sweating! :)

Catching up on 365's this week! Getting back in the groove after trips and projects.

Your food looks delicious! Maybe we need a 365 retreat so you can make us some quiche! Just kidding.

Congrats on completing the curriculum!

You and me both. I'm over the summer heat... especially having a struggling a/c in the mom-taxi.

Nothing like a yummy quiche! Mmmm...

We've wanted to see Inception, too. Great to know it was a good watch. Maybe we'll get to see it when it comes out on DVD. Ha!

Well our week was considerably cooler considering it never once got over 75 degrees and our nights are in the 40's and 50's. Strange weather we are having here in Cali this year.

My husband would be impressed with the speed your curriculum came together. He works alone, but it takes him about a week (it would be less if he'd sit down and do it all at once) to get three months done for the children's ministry we run.

Love flip flops so I will have to check those out! :) Bummer about the hot weather but it's better than snow. :)

Food looks great! The quiche could be on the cover of a food magazine, it looks so perfect.
I am intrigued by the flip flops. I have never heard of that brand. Are there specific stores that carry them?
I hear you on the heat and our hasn't been as bad as yours. YUCK!!
Glad you had fun at the movie.
Have a good week!

Hey, Sara
I guess I do not understand the format of your new widget. I tried to link up but it goes to my dashboard instead of my blog. Can you remove it for me? Thanks
