Project 365 - Week 29

Week 29

I don't know about you, but summer is flying by!!!  I really need it to slooooow doooown!!

This week was so relaxing and just plain fun!  After we sent our youngest on his mission trip (which went great by the way), Steve and I hopped in the car and drove to Indiana (where we used to live) to visit our friends.  There is nothing better than the company and laughter of good friends.  It's like a balm to your soul and refreshes your heart!!

Now I have to hit the ground running.....meaning the laundry has to get done FAST.  I have to drive Jared (ya, not looking forward to getting in the car so soon!) to northern AR for band camp.  Drop him off, get home and head out the next day to my mom's.  I will be helping her clean out her basement. It is going to be a big job, but I am sure we will fit in some fun girl time in there somewhere!!!

Here's my week:
Sunday
after church today, we got on the road to Indiana
11 1/2 hour drive....ugh!
This sunset was so amazing, my camera did not do it justice

Monday
since we were staying up at my friends lake house,
my friend Tori got a bunch of ladies together for lunch.
I miss this women so much!!!
and our 2+ hour lunch was way too short!!
sunset cruise on the lake with best friends
of course you have to have appetizers!!!!
Tuesday

it was a VERY relaxing day today by the lake
some jet skiing, some boating, but mostly relaxing!!!

it ended with another sunset cruise around the lake with yummy appetizers.

Wednesday
this is mostly what we did all day today.......loved it!

Max thinks he's one of us!

We did a little snoozing too!
Thursday
the guys golfed today, the ladies hung out on the boat, one guy had to fly to Las Vegas to catch a bad guy and didn't make it back in time for dinner at Carrabas.

Friday
Today we got our last lake time and then I had the pleasure of a short visit with a sweet friend.  but I couldn't leave Indiana without these.....
...the best blueberries ever!!
I am taking 30 lbs home to freeze and I also grabbed a bunch of blueberry honey while I was there.....my kids will be very happy!

We ended the evening with a BBQ and just hanging and visiting around a fire pit....perfect.
Saturday
my last view of the lake before our 11+ hour drive home.

So what did your week entail?  Link up!

I want the week you had! lol It looks like it was great fun and very relaxing. Very nice!

I had a sunset shot too this week, and like with yours...the picture doesn't do it justice at all.

The lake is gorgeous. Do your friends have a house on that lake year round or is it a vacation home? Either way, they are lucky to get that view often.

So much fun! Nothing better than spending time with good friends! We spent about 5 days at my in-laws lake house while on our vaca to MI and it was so very relaxing...aaahhhh! Looks like you had a great time, minus all of the car drives! Hope you have a great week!

What a wonderful week! Looks like loads of fun :) While you were sunning on the lake, we were hunkered down inside by the fire :)

What beautiful photos! I'm so jealous of your time on the lake. We're off to Hawaii in one more week so I'll have some time near water too. Love looking at your photos each week. God bless!

Oh how nice! That looks like a great relaxing time. My week was NOT a vacation, but it was relaxing - my boss was out of town on business travel all week. I read two books & played a lot of solitaire :)

Wonderful week! Worth the long drives, I'm sure. And now with the gorgeous photos you keep the memories alive.
Never heard of blueberry honey and didn't know IN was known for its blueberries. Yum yum...

I so missed our boat rides on our vacation this year, but the weather was just not right for it on the days that we could have gone.

I got some sunset pictures out of our car windows during our vacation travels that just did not look as beautiful as they really were.

I'm so glad you had such a relaxing week...exactly what you both needed!! It was great to see you, eventhough the time was short. Have safe trips this week and enjoy those blueberries, I know you always do!!

Thanks for sharing your week with us. It made me relax just looking at the pictures! Loved the "last view of the lake." Sad.

I'm glad you had a wonderful time! You're right, summer should slow waaaaay down.

What an awesome week! I haven't visited in a while, but I'm glad to have seen such cheerful pictures.

When my husband was going to Seminary in KY we had picked some blueberries in Indiana and I remember them being so good. We also picked peaches there too, but although they were as sweet as sugar, the only thing that really stuck out in my mind was how incredibly HOT it was the day we picked them! (We had a baby at that time and she was miserable!)

Thanks for sharing!
