CSN product review.....Breadman bread machine

I thoroughly enjoyed my last product review for CSN stores.  So when they contacted me to do another review....I jumped on it!!!

CSN  has over 200 different stores to choose from and over 1 million items, including beautiful dining room tables, children's furniture, and cookware! You know I love cookware!!  They offer competitive pricing that you can't find on other retail online stores. Their vision is to be a household brand name, and I'd say they are pretty close as they are in the top 3 online U.S. retailers of home and office goods!

CSN is so great to work with.  Their sites are easy to navigate and search, their products come quickly and without hassle, and I have yet to be disappointed by anything that I have bought or received from one of their stores.

So they gave me the opportunity to review the Breadman Ultimate Plus bread machine.  Now I know many of you had bread machines way back in the day.....and many of those said machines ended up in garage sales (mine included), so I was curious to see if they had changed and what new features they had.

Boy have they changed.  This machine has tons of options!
It even makes jam!!!
It is going to take me a while to figure them all out.

But first, a basic loaf of white bread was my goal.
I followed the recipe that came with the machine.

It has a nifty window so that you can watch what is going on inside.

However, my first loaf ended in failure.
Well, partial failure.
It seemed to rise beautifully and then the top fell while baking.
but it tasted soooo good!!!

So I searched the internet for another recipe and tried again...
and this failure was even worse.
the top fell and it was so light in texture, it was hard to cut.

I was getting a bit frustrated, but found a web site that talked about how precise your measurements needed to be and what a big part salt played.
So I set out with a new recipe ..
my family is LOVING this and each loaf is gone before the next is baked!

Success!!!!  salt made a big difference.
This loaf is a bit lop sided so not perfect.
I decided to go back to the first recipe, but change the salt proportions to see what would happen..

Perfection!!!!
This loaf is visibly and tastefully (is that a word?) perfect!!!

I think I am going to enjoy having a bread machine!!!

my hips may not

....next I am off to try soft pretzels and pizza dough!!!

Thank you CSN for allowing me to review this wonderful product!!!  Now head over to CSN and visit one of their 200 stores........I am especially partial to their cookware site......just sayin'!

Yes, I used to have a bread machine...until it walked off the counter! (It vibrated when it was mixing and actually "walked right off my counter!") But before it did that, I did enjoy the bread it made on several occasions..

This model looks like it works well...(once you got the recipe down.) ((smile))

You made me hungry for some homemade bread girl!

I also used to like it for mixing the cinnamon rolls dough...and then I would take it our and make the rolls and bake it in the oven.

Pretzels sound good too.

Have a great day!

I still have my old machine, but haven't used it forever! I love all the options this one has.
So how can I review a new set of cookware?!! :)

I have loved my bread machine. It's the only one, I think, that makes a regularly shaped, long loaf.

This machine looks interesting. And I can almost smell the bread!

when i worked my last Emmaus weekend, we MADE all the bread we used for the various communions...our sleeping quarters smelled like fresh baked bread the entire weekend. The team loved it!
Your loaves look awesome to me ;)

I have a bread maker in my basement that I have not opened yet. Might have to do that soon. REally you can make pretzels in there? Cool.

Your machine looks higher tech than mine. I do have a window, but it doens't make jam :p

I use it for pizza dough mostly. The salt is important in it. I don't use salt in anything normally but the bread just doesn't come out right without it.

Really wish I'd brought my bread machine. Gave it to my daughter. Only brought a few kitchen things because of the 110/220 difference but we have a transformer so it wouldn't have mattered. Oh well. We finally, just now, after almost 2 years, found a bakery that does decent whole wheat bread. But still not the whole grain bread I was especially fond of in the U.S. That we've found in other towns on occasion, but never locally :(

Am catching up on blogs since I can't sleep. Extreme back pain has had me up all night :( Appreciate your prayers. Seems to be getting worse instead of better. Am hoping to see the chiropractor in the morning.

Bread Machine Yeast. Made just for machines. That works for me. I'd be interested in what machine Linda owns that makes a regular shaped loaf, not a cube of bread.
