Project 365 - Week 18

Week 18.

I don't know what it is about this year, but I am having such a hard time remembering to take my pictures. I carry my camera with me at all times and yet completely forget to take it out. It is becoming very frustrating. I have to admit that 2 of my pictures this week actually happened the day they are listed, but I took the picture days later. And then I forgot a day altogether again.....sheesh.

I hope you are having a better time at it than I am!!!

Here's my week:
Sunday

We are studying the miracles of Christ
Today was Christ calms the storm
The older kids made boats out of eggs and cheese
The younger kids made boats with the disciples in them

Monday

spent the morning addressing graduation announcements

Tuesday

Had a deck built and they finished today!!
this will add so much space around our pool!
party time!

Wednesday

today was the last day of our Daniel bible study.
we ended with a brunch and the ladies gave me this awesome mug!!!

Thursday

No picture today
this is happening a lot more often than last year!
it was a busy, busy day
but ended with an awesome dinner at friend's house
I just forgot to get my camera out....argh!

Friday

no school today so we started out with an awesome breakfast.
if I do say so myself!

and we ended the day in the basement with tornado warnings.
6 were spotted around us!!

Saturday

spent the morning scanning in pictures for a graduation video.
Those of you whose children were born only in the digital era have no clue how lucky you are!!
Now link up and let us see what your week was like!!! And if you are new, join us!!!

I've forgotten a few days - but Dr. M almost always takes some pictures so I'm covered :)

I remember putting the slide show together when my mother died - that was a LOT of scanning! And my Sundays in Zambia posts required a lot of scanning - I know how annoying it is. But it's great to have them in there in the end.

That pool deck is amazing!

Love your pool deck! That will make your summer even more fun.

I totally agree about those who don't have to scan in pictures are so very lucky! I will have to do that again for our son, and I already dread it.

I sure agree about the digital photo era. I am only part way through the kids' adoption videos that I started doing about 2 years ago. Let's see...about 4 kids done, only 6 more to go. Sigh... The one who wants hers done the most has only the type that need to be scanned and I just can't seem to find the time.

I think that even though you didn't take a picture on the day it happened but you take a picture of something that happened on that day it should still count :)

Great projects with the kids at Sunday School. I just might have to "steal" some of your ideas!

Love the pictures of the kids they look so happy and proud. I would take the my arkansas days back with tornadoes and give up the earthquakes of ca. My friends in Conway AR were posting about those tornadoes at the Toad Suck festival. Scary.

You are going to enjoy your deck! Very nice.

Crazy tornadoes. Glad you guys are okay!

Oh how I wish digital cameras were what they are today when my girls were babies. Seriously!

Love the new deck!

Breakfast anytime is always my favorite meal!

...and you are so right about the pictures. All of my baby pictures for both of my children are all hard copies. I did not get into digital until 2005 and both my children were in 10 and 15. I try to get my precious pictures scanned as I come across them in my photo albums. The thought of getting them all scanned is just to overwhelming.

I think this week is the first week where I actually did have a picture for all 7 days, that hardly ever happens either. I think it's more about hormones, short term memory loss and life happening all at the same time and taking a picture seems to get pushed down on that list of priorities, oh and hot flashes mood swings, teenage angst, laundry, cooking dinner, going to the grocery store...

Blessings

You're not the only one having trouble remembering to take photos!

Enjoyed the ones you did take though :-) Especially the breakfast one. LOL Can you tell I haven't had any yet this morning?!

Love the deck! What a blessing that will be this summer.

Have a great week!

Amen to the digital era. LOL
That breakfast looks so good. Wish I had that today.
So glad you were safe...I hate tornados.
Adorable mug too.

The deck is beautiful...I know you have one alrady...is that on the upper level?

A positive of the pre-digital age is there are LESS pictures to choose from. I take hundreds most week...how am I supposed to choose from all of those by the time they are graduating from high school? It will be the length of Gone with the Wind! :)

We'll be celebrating the end of our Esther study this week, too. Good stuff!

Your deck looks fantastic! We're having breakfast at small group tonight so that pic put me in the right mood.
I am wondering if the Indiana snow is still worse than the Arkansas tornado warnings?
Have a super week!!

Your deck looks very inviting! I am sure you will be spending some great times out there.
Good luck with the graduation and pics! Maybe I should start on Jake's now - he's 12, that will give me enough time to get them all scanned before his graduation!
Wishing you some calmer weather!

Really like the color combinatino of the deck chairs! SO ready for summer warm weather minus the tornados. Have a confession to make, I frequently have to "catch up" on my pictures at the end of the week but I try to take ones that represent that day... guess I have been "cheating" all along and didn't know it. Have a great week!

I'm having trouble remembering the camera, too, especially on days when I just don't FEEL like taking pictures.

Cute boats the kids made.

NIIIIICE deck!!

We missed the tornado weather because we were out-of-town. It's nice, at these times, to have a basement. (We always go to the closet beneath the stairs, which gets a little cramped.)

Oh, man. I totally agree about the scanning fun. Ugh. And our scanner is pathetic, too, so the pictures are grainy and awful no matter how good they look printed.

I seldom take a picture e.v.e.r.y day, but I do try to make up for it of photograph something representative of that day. That has been the best about your Project 365--it is not a legalistic demands, but an enjoyable opportunity to record the highlights of our lives.
I spent a day scanning ancient slides, some 60 years old! And another day uploading the best family photos to make a poster for my mother for Mother's Day.
You have busy days ahead with graduation coming up.
Our granddaughter's will be next year. I think I should start NOW on a photo display of some sort. Hmmmmm.....

Very productive week for you!
I have tons of pictures both in print and digital... I keep thinking I need to spend some time organizing them all but I don't even know where to begin. That is a HUGE task!
