Random Dozen

This week has started out almost exactly like my last week....not a good sign. I am getting tired of putting out fires. So, I am very thankful for Linda at 2nd cup and her Random Dozen to give me something fun to post about!

1. How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?I am guessing about 16 years old. Seeing that my feet grew a 1/2 size with every.single.child......I can not wear any shoes prechildren.

2. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year? If so, what variety? of course!!! thin mints!!!

3. Do you know how to ballroom dance? If not, would you like to? Yes. When I was in junior high, my parents made me take a class called Junior Assembly. We, kids, lovingly called it "Junior Assassination". We had to be paired randomly and were taught all the ball room dances, cha cha cha...rumba.....waltz.......then once a quarter there would be a "dance" where we could "pick" our partners and it was a contest. They actually tapped you on the shoulder if you got cut! ugh, makes me sweat just thinking about it!!!

4. Were you a responsible child/teenager? depends on who you're asking or who you are comparing me to! But I'm an otter.....how responsible can I be?

5. How many of this year's Oscar-nominated movies did you see? to be honest....I have no idea what movies were nominated.......I know, sad.

6. If you're going to have a medical procedure done, such as having blood drawn, is it easier for you to watch someone else having the procedure done or have it done yourself? seeing as I do NOT like pain OR needles.....I have to go with it being easier watching someone else!!!

7. What is your favorite day of the week and why? Friday....because it is my husbands day off and I don't work either......we spend the whole day together starting with a breakfast date!

8. Do you miss anyone right now? yes, first my daughter....she is sick right now and I just want to take care of her. Second, my aunt....the 29th of this month is the 1st anniversary of her death...part of my struggles this month....... I miss her advice and her prayers.

9. Do hospitals make you queasy? No. I grew up in a surgeon's home so the hospital was just part of our life.

10. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card. Not that you ever would, you responsible person, you. Any kitchen store.

11. Are you true to the brand names of products/items?nope....whatever is on sale.....or whichever my eye spots first.......except of course for my Blue Bell ice cream.

12. Which is more difficult: looking into someone’s eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someone’s eyes when he/she is telling you how he/she feels? I don't think I have ever even thought about this. I don't think it is hard to look anyone in the eye so I guess I would say neither.

Have a great Wednesday!!!

Can't believe it's been almost a year since your precious aunt passed. Wow! Your feet grew with each pregnancy!? Guess it's a good thing you didn't have as many children as the Duggers. ahaha Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD

"Junior Assassination" LOL
My feet grew with each pregnancy too. But now they seem to be shrinking a little. I'm still trying to figure out what my South American shoe size is.
Sure hope your week begins improving!
Anniversaries of the loss of loved ones is always so hard. Praying for you!

yeah, we've been on the "thin mint" diet around here! sheesh, those things are naughty.

it is interesting how our bodies have that lil' clock that reminds us that it is that season of remembering our loved ones. my heart goes out to you sara. and thanks for the lovin' you've sent my way lately!

It's so great that you and your hubby get the same day off and you start it out with a date! I am sorry your daughter is sick and you are away from her. That must be hard. Until next time!
