Random Dozen

It's Random Dozen time at Linda's....

1. If you could master one sport, what would it be? Before I can master it, I have to learn to like it........but I would like to master golf so that I could play with my husband and kids.

2. When you make a major purchase, do you go with your gut instinct, or do you do research to make an informed decision? Definitely go with my gut. Doing research would waste valuable time from using said purchase.

3. There is an old kids' game that says you can find out what your movie star name would be by using your middle name as your first name and the name of the street you grew up on as your last. What is your movie star name? Lynn Tecumseh.......not bad!!! :)

4. Would you rather give up your favorite music or your favorite food? If you know me for let's say...2 minutes.....then you know I would rather give up music!!!

5. There are two types of banana preferences. One is pristine yellow, almost to the point of being green; the other is spotty and more ripe. Which is your preference? pristine yellow all the way. If there are any brown spots on it, it gets set aside for banana bread.

6. Your favorite tree is? people have favorite trees? I guess I don't.

7. On a scale of 1-10, how tech savvy are you? At one point in my life, I was a 10. I used to sell and repair computers back in the day. But as things have changed so quickly over the years, I would have to say that now I am about a 6.

8. Has H1N1 touched your family? Yes, my older son had it. But the rest of us were spared.

9. Are you an analytical person, or do you just accept things the way they are without questioning or scrutinizing? Let's see....from questions I have answered so far in this meme.....can you guess?

10. Is your personality more like that of a dog, cat, or Koala? What is the personality of a Koala? tree hugger? I would have to say that I am more like a dog.

11. Do you keep in touch with friends you made years ago? Yes, I am still in touch with friends that I knew in elementary school. And though we have moved 5 times in our marriage, I still keep up with friends from each place.

12. You are checking out at a grocery store. In the express lane, there are more people than the regular lanes, but of course, their load is less than those in the regular lanes. Which lane do you choose (assuming you qualify for the express lane) and why? First off, I always go to the self check out lane. However, I would quickly try to analyze which is going to move faster and then choose that one. Of course, I would be wrong and the line I chose would have some kind of problem or the person in front of me would have an item with no price that would have to be looked up manually for some reason and I would end up spending so much time in line that my ice cream would melt........because you know I would have ice cream in my basket!

Seriously, you would rather give up MUSIC?! Wow! So what is it about either your L.O.V.E of your favorite food or your hate of music??

I'm also interested to know the personality of a koala...

I'm a dog-type too, and my name is Elizabeth Thornwood. THAT's why I've never made it in show biz!

We love food but our bananas have to be just so -- does that make us food snobs or just picky eaters? :-)

I'm really impressed with #11; I have one friend from those years that I stay in touch with and it's sporadic at best. And she was my best friend until I met my husband!

I've been trying to think up questions to suggest to Lid, but I think I'm being too analytical about it. hahahaha

So I'm guessing you are not overly analytical. :)
Your blog is beautiful, I'll be back.

Funny how strongly people feel about their bananas!

It was fun reading your answers today...enjoy your week! Oh, and congrats to your son on the no more braces...that is a happy day in the life of a teenager for sure! And of course for the parents who have been footing the bill..been there myself...now if we can just get through the college tuition years we'll be great : )

We definitely have #12 in common. If I buy ice cream there is no way I am getting out of the store quickly and efficiently.

I had to go to the grocery store of torture this evening while my kids were fencing...I thought about this question while standing there. I had an experience like your #12, but fortunately, no ice cream!

I feel your pain with No. 12!

BTW, I tried learning to play golf...and got bored. ;) LOL!
