Project 365 - Week 38

Week 38....1/2 way through September......wow! This year is really flying by.

I don't know about where you live, but we are about to build an ark in my hometown. It has been raining for 8 days.......EIGHT days......and is still raining. Today was more on and off, but overcast, humid and wet. The forecast says we might have rain for 3-6 more days. This southern girl is in great need of some sunshine!!! I don't know how people live in Oregon........ya'll I am grumpy!!!

But I am glad that I live on the TOP of the hill!!!

Here's my week:
Sunday

We kicked off our Jonah curriculum at church today...
....the kids got swallowed by a fish as they walked in!

Monday

My new addiction...
Edamame!
Since I found them at Sam's, frozen in individual servings,
I have had them almost everyday....and they're good for me!
Bonus!

Tuesday

It is raining.....again.

Wednesday

Started this study today....
...it's going to be great!

Thursday

It's official!
you can use duct tape for anything!!!
we were setting up our stage for children's ministries for this Sunday and we need a spot light on the drama. We (3 women) couldn't figure out how to get this spot light pointed in the right direction and work, it was just hanging from the cord!
It works now!! :)

Friday

Friday nights & Football
they go well together!!
The band didn't get to play :( , this game was away
and the threat of pouring rain was too big
However, it didn't rain, just misted, and we won!!!
We are 3-0 now!!! Woot!

Saturday

I just vacuumed yesterday!!

the culprit....
shedding season is here.....ugh!
However, you can't stay mad at that sweet face for long!

So how was your week? Link up!!

The whale around the door way looks great, and what a fun, creative idea!

We could actually use some of your rain, although I'm not going to complain about the beautiful weather we have been having. However, I honestly don't remember the last time it rained here.

Your dog is so cute!

Y'all are so creative! Love that big fish mouth :-) I can totally empathize with your grumpiness -- it rained half the week here and I was definitely starting to feel a little gloomy. Hope you get some sunshine soon! Have you ever checked out the website that shows the prom outfits kids have created for the annual Duct Tape contest? Amazing! Your shedding machine is adorable :-) Nope, couldn't stay mad at that for long.

You are one clever lady. Bet the kids loved the whale!

Send the rain our way, please!

I love Beth Moore. I can barely wait to see her in November. Great pics this week. Blessings, SusanD

I feel your pain with the dog hair...its a good thing we love them!

Totally cool whale! Your team puts so much thought and care into your kids...over the top creative!!

Keep us updated in how the study is. Are you doing it with a group?

Great fish! You must be getting the rain we had a few weeks back- every day.

Duct tape rocks!

Out of curiosity - what are your temps on all these days of rain? As I wrote in my blog, it's kind of a foreign concept for us Oregonians to get rain AND warmth simultaneously. And, generally, our rain season doesn't begin until October - in fact - Monday through Wed. are supposed to be in the high 90's here. I'm not so much complaining, but I'd really love some "crisp" mornings with sunshine in the low 70's......

The whale entrance looked outstanding. How fun!

Another great week - and congrats on your football team....

Ooops, I forgot to link up this morning.

I LOVE the fish!!!! That looks so fun!

We had rain for about 2 weeks straight too. I am very thankful for it but gloomy weather really takes it's toll on my mood. I need lots of Light! You have a beautiful yard.

I can never get duct tape to work like that. It must be a guy thing. LOL.

It's shedding season all year long at my house. Of course you can't get mad at that cute little face. Aww. :)

Hooray for duct tape!

Yep, my Lily is shedding all over the place too!! I sweep my room about every other day and by the end of the day it's bad again. You just gotta love 'em at this time of year.

Love your Jonah Whale! The kids must love coming to church! What is Edamame? I don't think I have ever had it.

Great to see what you have been up to!

Y'all are so resourceful and artistic ;)
We're doing a study in the Psalms, but that one really interests me. I've never done a Beth Moore one and I once taught a series on the Ps of the Ascent.
Don't quite know what your latest good-for-you-favorite-food is exactly, looks good, though. Maybe 'cause it's time for lunch. And the carpet pic reminds me to vacuum the stairs TODAY!

Okay, I have to ask: how do you pronounce the "Edamame"? This is the second time I've seen that word within about a week...they look scrumptious!

I am finally working on my pics and post. I will do June & July first, but it's SO hard to just pick a few!

The fish door is adorable! I love decorating like that for kids.

We've been getting crazy rain over here too. Record floods in over 100 years! You might see us (North Georgia) on the news tonight, although our house is also on a hill, so no worries for our household. But I've seen SCHOOLS with water up to the roof! Crazy.

Your doggie is so cute!
